I still don't get how this is a red card at all. I think if Cuadrado doesn't turn round to apologise for whatever he doesn't get sent off. Makes him look guilty.

p.s. Ramos is a c**t. Worse than Pepe.

Ach I thought we were going to have a bit of a barney between the teams when he was sent off.

We didn't and suppose that's modern football for you...

On the subject of modern football.........what is it with players shaking each others hand, during a game, when they've fouled the opposition. Don't remember "Chopper" ever shaking another players hand after he had delivered a "calling card tackle"

Southampton are apparently reporting Liverpool to the Premier League, for illegal approaches. This is how far Liverpool have fallen, failing to compete with the top teams like us, they use Southampton as an unofficial feeder club and have now stooped to illegally tapping up Van Dijk, pathetic.

I would like to take a dig at Pool too. But What are these illegal approaches?

I mean, it seems we have an agreement with Romelu before we have an agreement with Everton, is not that illegal? I just am not sure about what constitutes as illegal here.

It could be any number of teams, there's no hint at all its chelsea. It points more to United if anything

Fair enough (though I dont agree with it being Utd one bit).

My point (or rather more a question) still stands. What is the difference between what United/X/Y/Z club are doing with Lukaku or what we did with Stones to what Pool has done with VVD.

To be fair, I don't know the ins and outs, I've only read that it's an ‘alledged illegal approach’. It's just amusing, the amount of talent Liverpool nick from Southampton and now we realise it may not all be through legal means.

Nothing, apart from the fact that we didn't and won't get in trouble, just funny to me that Liverpool might get done for messing with a club they have an obsession with.

It's amazing how Southampton keep trying to throw it all away instead of being a club that can compete. If they didn't sack / lose the managers or sell all of their players, they could have easily been competing for a top 6 place.

Perhaps they are realistic, not having the tradition of a big club nor in a big catchment area they settle for mediocre using a good business model.

Well, realistically they could have competed, now they have given all of that up. It must suck being a fan of a club that has no ambition to compete or aim higher.

I believe Liverpool have also been banned from signing junior players due to illegal activity /tapping up, this probably is similar and they are now running scared hence the apology

tut tut typical scousers:rolleyes:

From Jamie Carragher's Twitter about VVD.

FFS! Only person at Liverpool who should apologise is the person who fed the story he wanted to come to LFC when no fee had been agreed.

Spoken in true ex-Liverpool player fashion. Will not criticise his club for anything and tries to find someone else to blame

My understanding is that Southampton objected when the press were trumpeting Klopp's secret meeting with Van Dijk in Blackpool. Even with all the murkiness that goes on behind the scenes that's still a pretty big red line (see: Mou and Ash in a London restaurant).

Would be funny AF if they end up getting a points deduction and it isn't suspended on account of their previous sanctions around youth signings.
