September 1, 20169 yr 1 minute ago, pacquiao said: what??? so your saying Bailly has been tested then? Wilson, Long and Hernandez were all left isolated against the Man United defense, there is not much they can do on their own, against any defense. and that i say quote "i agree that it's still too early in the season, let's just see then" please read before you spout
September 1, 20169 yr Bailly has had a good start to the season. If Luiz had the same start Manny would be going on about stats and everything, saying how great he has been.

September 1, 20169 yr He's back now, lets get behind the big lad, he will bring more charcter and entertainment to our side. He will win games for us, and he'll probably cost us some points, but what player doesnt? They all make mistakes! He will almost certainly score some fantastic goals for us. His last stint with us didnt go too badly, so lets enjoy it.

His last stint with us didnt go too badly, so lets enjoy it. Agreed. No point bitching and moaning about it now, he's here and if nothing else he will provide us with some smiles and enjoyment. We need a CB, he's a CB who's won countless things with us in the past so it's not as much of a disaster as folk are making out on here. Welcome home Geezer.
September 1, 20169 yr He's not the CB I would have signed. He's not even in the top 10 probably. But he's here again and he certainly offers entertainment at the very least. So welcome back David.
September 1, 20169 yr Cold light of day: Obviously I'm not particularly happy about this transfer, especially considering we did so well to get rid of him in the first place, but he's back now and naturally I welcome him and wish him every success. There are definitely positives to be taken from this - he has a unique skill set among our centre backs, he has brilliant natural technique and physical attributes, and he is a remarkably popular figure among the fans and within the team. His signing also makes playing three at the back a genuine option. I think it is far too late for his lamentable decision-making to be coached out of him, but he can certainly become a valuable member of the squad, and he has shown that he is capable of individual massive performances. If he can produce that on a [somewhat - being realistic] consistent basis then it is possible that he can be an asset rather than a liability. Admittedly that is hugely wishful thinking, but pathological despair isn't a particularly attractive trait and considering how often I've criticised others on here for whining, I'd feel like a hypocrite to not at least try to see this transfer from the other side. Good luck David, I hope to God that you prove me wrong.

September 1, 20169 yr When you sold him for £50m, that was the greatest sale of a player in history. Buying him back now for £34m isn't that bad considering how the market has gone. It is probably the equivalent of about £20m back when you sold him. I
September 1, 20169 yr still a bit peeved we couldn't have used tomori. has a decent showing as a cb for us, then left out in the dark. i guess luiz' experience and leadership means more to us than soley defensive work, although he's still not a terrible defender; has brain farts but is still capable.
