Perhaps he is, but coming on top in the difficult moments makes him World Class. He was laughing when they were demolished by Bayern at least have the decency not to make fun of the hand that feeds you.

if we get sanchez, amazing. We could well test them with a 40m bid and I cant see how they can turn that down, I doubt Juve or Inter will bid that much.

We need better players across the board. Just because Pedro, Cahill, Alonso and Moses are playing well doesn't mean we shouldnt aim for improvements - especially with us playing more games.  

It certainly doesn't but, on the evidence so far, both Tottenham and West Ham haven't exactly set the place alight on their performances at Wembley and Olympic Park respectively. Anyway, let's hope you're dead right and we fit seamlessly into our new temporary home and Sanchez is in our squad!

Not to replace Hazard. Hazard isn't leaving. It's to play with Hazard. Hazard-Costa(Lukaku?)-Sanchez front 3 will be devastating.

 

Also, I know this story was probably leaked from a club source and is reliable. Why? Because Chelsea want the Hazard to Madrid story to be buried by this.

 

Massive statement if we can pull this off though.

    I can't see it happening unless Sanchez desperately wants to stay in London. All the other sources have been saying or a while that Italy is his preference. We shall see I guess.

    would be a massive, massive coup to land him, and to think he would cost less than what we got for Oscar. I'm hoping he's settled in London so the move would be appealing to him

    he's played in italy so maybe true, we'll see. 

    Would go a long way in making is CL-candidates.

    Would also be a massive, massive statement to the rest of the league that there's a new sheriff in town.

    So yeah, lets hope we can pull this off.

    Depends what Wenger does with his own future.

    Maybe they've found a new manager and Sanchez doesn't want to work with them? Lots going on behind the scenes at the moment that we can only speculate about.

    we didn't want to sell cech to arsenal, but unforunately cech wanted to stay in london. if sanchez feels the same, arsene has no say. they also either accept money this season or he goes from free next season. if we outbid other clubs (and if he's genuinely our no.1 target, why wouldn't we?) then you cannot see arsenal accepting big money for him?

    Well they can just say we are not selling you to Chelsea. Either you wind down your contract here or you move elsewhere? I mean talk of Juve, Inter, PSG and of course China so not like he wont have a long list of clubs to choose from.

    I thought we let Cech go because Roman felt he deserved to choose his next club, maybe Arsenal might not be so kind to Sanchez?

    I think if he was sold here the fans would implode, be funny but I just cannot see it.

    If we sign him and keep Hazard then brilliant, Hazard out and Sanchez in would be underwhelming and a step down in my opinion. Alexis is a very good player but i honestly believe just how good he is is being overplayed due to being the ray of hope in a team all over the shop, a bit like Mata under AVB.

    Don't see it happening if Hazard stays because we will not pay over odds for him. If Hazard does leave which I pray does not happen, we can get around £100m for Hazard while paying half for Sanchez and let's be honest they are very similar in terms of quality. I would  say we can even increase that to £60m if there was a chance we lose Hazard. Arsenal defo do not want to sell to another English club but if we blow other teams away with what we are offering for Sanchez, Arsenal may have no choice.

    Bayern got turned down by Arsenal last summer when they offered 35m for Sanchez. They definitely won't be offering much more now that he's got just 1 year left on his contract and could walk for free next summer. There's nothing stopping us from offering 50m even if Hazard stays (which I strongly believe he will). There have been several reports that we're going to spend a lot this summer. Might be the last big chance we get to splurge in the market before spending on the new stadium starts.
