If any of the 'Costa is leaving talk is true' then Pedro would still surely be a nailed on starter with Alexis as our striker, which i would drool over, can you imagine the tricky link-up play between the three of them? If Costa stays, we still have a tonne of games next season with CL coming into play, there would be plenty of playing time for all of them i'd imagine. I really think we need to try and get him, he's one of a handful of truly world class talents in the PL along with Hazard, Zlatan and Aguero, it would be amazing to have him here.

If his attitude is right on paper adding him and a top left back would put us up there with anything in europe, assuming luiz is still as good in a back 4

Do you really think Conte will change his favorite formation that will win us the title this season because of Sanchez and make it 4-2-3-1?

I hope 343 wins us the title. Can we improve? yes...Do I think he will go back to 4231, probably not. But I think his decision to move to 343 was as much to do with the players available as the system. I think we are still a couple of players short if we're looking to challenge domestically and in europe next year.

If that survey result was true, no wonder Arsenal isn't winning anything. Most Arsenal players are so contend with ' playing well', ' challenging the title but fail short', then this 1 world class player wants to aim higher, and everyone calls him a spoiled child. I think he'd fit right in with our players and manager.

Let's not get too far ahead, there's no way Conte should abandon the best system to sacrifice a defender just to put another attacker in.

To be honest, i don't want us to go back to 4-2-3-1. I'm bored of the formation and i think it's starting to become less effective. I want us to stick with the wing backs. If we were to buy Sanchez, it would mean dropping Pedro to the bench. It would be slightly harsh on Pedro because he has had a very good season for us, but Sanchez is on another level and would get us competing with the very best in the game.

I don't agree that it would relegate Pedro to the bench, you need a quality squad to compete in the CL, look at the players Bayern brought on tonight.

 

There's plenty of games for them all to get a fair share of starts and appearances.

 

We should look to sign Sanchez whatever the cost IMO.

personally i would throw all the oscar money for him, but our board will probably stick to the usual transfer policy and spike 20-30million odd for two or three solid players (who sometimes flop) and doesn't really take us to the next level

I hate Arsenal and it is funny to see how Sanchez reacts to his team getting destroyed. If he did join Chelsea he would probably do the same when things go bad for us, i'd rather pass on him.

He's not coming here though, there have already been several sources saying Arsenal are going to block any approach from English sides. Sticking a 10ner on Juve although PSG might sneak in.

If Juve sign him they'll be an absolute powerhouse in the CL, though I have an inkling that we'll see them in the CL final this year, they're a very good side

Arsenal would break eventually if he wanted to come and we made a few good offers. They sold RvP to Ferguson and ManUtd and basically handed them the title.

Mirror are reporting Conte really wants him so it will be interesting to see. Fingers crossed we make a move.

I'd love him here but with all the fall out with their fans, manager and players the last thing I can see them doing is selling their best player to their neighbours.

They are stupid but learned their lesson from RVP I would have thought.

They could ask for £100M and let's say we pay it.. buy three players for 40M each that they actually need and all might be forgiven (from their fans perspective).  It would then be seen as a bold move to actually win the title.  They didn't learn anything after Ashley Cole so why would they learn anything after RVP?

They were not in free fall when they sold Ashley Cole..... Plus they got Gallas in return who was a world class defender back then. This is a totally different situation in almost every way.

Sanchez will be going elsewhere of that I'm certain. Juve are the outright favourites and they are not short of money. The teams also mentioned are flush so the transfer fee is hardly going to be a problem

Agreed that we could do with a couple of signings, but the biggest stumbling block to further trophy hunting could be relocating to a new stadium in 2018. We've got that millstone around our necks for three seasons.

I dont agree, playing in front of 90,000 fans for 3 years? Home of English football. And on current form if we had only played away this season we would still be 4 points clear at the top of the league. So we arent that reliant 

Just because Tottenham crumble doesn't mean we would. 

if we get sanchez, amazing. We could well test them with a 40m bid and I cant see how they can turn that down, I doubt Juve or Inter will bid that much.

We need better players across the board. Just because Pedro, Cahill, Alonso and Moses are playing well doesn't mean we shouldnt aim for improvements - especially with us playing more games.

Thing is with Arsenal is the same crap happens year after year. Most players like staying at Arsenal because it's cosy and easy, Sanchez is a winner.

To get a player like Sanchez doesn't come round very often. To get him from Arsenal will be very difficult but it's worth a go. Arsenals owners are all about making money and with a year on his contract they won't be thinking we will let it run down to prove a point. 

If Roman's people ring the Yank's people and say -40M, they may just accept the deal since the only thing they care is money. The player will determine where he goes, Arsenal won't risk him sitting on the bench for a year and walk out a free agent.
