July 27, 20178 yr This argument is completely moot because he's not being sold to Chelsea plain and simple. There's a better chance of Ronaldo or Messi wearing a Chelsea shirt this year than Alexis Sanchez Edited July 27, 20178 yr by BleedChelseaBlue

No it simply isn't. You might consider it because you're just looking from a fan's pov but the reason we're not being seriously linked with bids for Sanchez is that our board are looking at numbers and they don't add up. The first sentence of the second part of your post shows clearly you are thinking solely of "i'm a Chelsea fan and want us to win stuff so any means will do". I'm notarguing he wouldn't be a very good addition to the squad and the team itself, simply saying he's not worth the outlay. I think that increase would be worth it. Of course i'm thinking 'i'm a chelsea fan and want us to win stuff by any means necessary', I'm not going to sit here and say, 'ah we'll see how it goes i'm happy with 4th'. No, I want us to win things, and if we were to sign someone who can be guaranteed contribute to that, for 20 million or 60 million, I'm not going to complain about us overspending. Nonetheless, it's unlikely we'll get him anyway, so it is indeed moot, we'll leave it there.

Its looking like he will be staying at Arsenal. Sanchez is still on holiday, he wont be back at Arsenal until their pre-season tour of Asia is done. Then we'll see movement, whether he stays or leaves though is down to him and I reckon he'll do all he can to force a move. I'm going to bet to PSG. Arsenal wont sell him to us or City.
July 27, 20178 yr I can't believe the interest our supporters have in buying this slimey tosser. Him getting John Terry sent off when he was at Barca made him an enemy to me, let him rot at L'arse. Up yours Alexis! Edited July 27, 20178 yr by Zola Mio Fratello

What a load of B*llocks, Our beloved JT does him with a sneaky knee in the thigh, all JTs own doing, and Sanchez would be the Best signing we could feasibly make this window!!!! July 28, 20178 yr Agree JT do very stupid thing there. Thought i don`t like Sanchez, this year he probably have 5 or 6 illegal goals most of them scored with his hands.
July 28, 20178 yr I can see him staying this year unless PSG offer something Crazy when Neymar knocks them back

He isn't like Ramos who actively looks for decisions
July 28, 20178 yr I can't honestly believe that anyone is defending Sanchez dropping like he'd been hit by a sniper. Yes JT was silly, but f**k me, people actually defending the cheating scroat? Some people are obviously really desperate to win at any cost, then.
July 28, 20178 yr Sanchez really pissed me off there, but who cares we've f*cking knocked them out of Europe with ten men. Up yours Barca.
July 28, 20178 yr Talking about transfer fees is strange as a fan as it at the end of the day is not our money we are spending and we should ultimately want the best players at the club irrespective of the cost. However we should consider that the money to be spent on transfers is finite and therefore we should want it to be spent in the right way. Although I think Sanchez would be an amazing addition to the team, however as others have rightly pointed out, we'd have to be careful not to spend over the odds on a 28-year old, explosive player. Paying 60m with 200k+ a week wages for a player who we'd likely get 2-3 years at his peak left would be poor business - especially considering he has 1 year left on his contract. I have to add that despite how much id love this transfer, I cant see Arsenal selling him to us, although if he expresses a desire to leave then in this day and age player power always seem to prevail. July 28, 20178 yr Not a chance he leaves Arsenal now, unless psg offer silly money. wont leave to pl team
July 28, 20178 yr Supposed to report back for pre-season training on Sunday but he's apparently too ill to return...of course he is...

I imagine they held a similar position before selling Van Persie to United for 20m~ a few years ago
