Don't be too hasty.

If Conte goes to another club he may want him again.

I’m pretty sure his own mother has disowned him at this point.

Gatusso seems to like him. I was kind of hoping he got the Spurs job and took Baka with him there then the Spuds fans would have had the fun of watching him stink up their midfield.

On the brink of rejoining AC Milan on a two year loan apparently.

He'll sign a contract extension with Chelsea because he only has 12 months on his deal but should he meet certain requirements on his loan apparently it would trigger a €20m obligation for Milan to make his move permanent.

Sounds like end of his time at Chelsea one way or the other though and another member of the 2017 disasterclass of transfers finally leaves once and for all.

THE REASON WHY MILAN ARE REFUSING TO PLAY BAKAYOKO

by Apollo Heyes | Feb 20, 2022 12:19

Tiemoue Bakayoko is not having a good season with Milan and poor performances are not the only reason why he’s currently sidelined in the Lombardy capital.

The 27-year-old French midfielder has made 13 Serie A appearances this season for the Rossoneri, but only five of those games were starts and he has not featured since the 2-1 loss to Spezia last month. He has only played the full 90 minutes of a match twice this campaign, and he didn’t impress either time.

As highlighted by Rudy Galetti, one of the main reasons why Milan are not playing Bakayoko is because the conditional obligation to buy clause attached to his loan deal is linked to the number of appearances made.

The Frenchman joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea last summer in a €2m loan deal, with the conditional obligation to buy clause set at around €15-20m. The Milanese club have no intention of making his stay permanent, and so it’s unlikely he’ll receive regular playing time now under Stefano Pioli.

Sounds about right.

At least he is at Milan until June 2023 .. unless they have some way of getting out of the two year loan agreement. Unfortunately, Marina extended his current deal until 2024, so there is a chance we get him back after his Milan loan.

He's utter gash. Worst player to pull on a Chelsea shirt.

If he does come back to us at any point, we should simply pay him off and cancel his contract.

Looks like Milan are now meeting with him to come to an agreement to end the loan. He will probably be returning this season. That extension to 2024 was a terrible decision.

I cannot imagine that Milan and Bakayoko would be authorised to agree on that between them. Part of almost every loan deal is the agreement between the two clubs that the loaning club covers all or parts of the player's salary. I'd be surprised if Milan is allowed to cancel that obligation unilaterally.

Unless it's clear we're not responisble for his 2021/22 and 2022/23 salary and they're meeting to agree on a pay off, in which case fine

Good news, apparently AC Milan have refused to play him at all since Jan to avoid having to buy him based on appearance clause, so he'll be heading back here once again to light up Cobham.

Welcome home oh heir of Kante!

How long does this geezer have left with us? Articles say until 2023 but transfermarkt says 2024

2 more years. Marina gave him a 2 year extention to cover his full 2 year loan plus 1 year so we could try and get a fee for him.

Batshuayi, Kepa, Lukaku, Zappacosta, Drinkwater and Bakayoko cost us a whopping £306m.

Wages on top. These guys don't play and train for nothing.

Tbf we've recouped nearly £12m in loan fees, if Milan actually played him and bought him as planned then the loss would have been minimal, like £10-15m maybe.

It’s like our scouting staff is totally hit or miss. We either hit them perfectly, and find hidden gems like Salah and de bruyne, Which of course we f**ked up by not keeping them to show their true talent, or we miss completely, like drinkwater, bats, Baka, Lumpkako, etc.  there is no ‘in between’ in our signings.

Yes we do seem to have an issue.

I can't believe Tuchel wanted Lukaku think it must have been club / Roman purchase with a non-disclosure act in the contract of managers to say they don't speak about it.

Baka though not making it here yet has made it in serie A in terms of minutes, so not a complete write off. Like with Kepa, Lukaku and others we overpaid.

I think we took a gamble on Drinkwater as he was Kante's friend and we wanted to keep other big clubs away from Kante.

Similarly recently James's sister has moved from Utd to us. Madrid are rumoured to be interested in James.

Bats,  he looked a good prospect with his finishing and perhaps thought they could mould him into a decent player.

Moses was a strange one looked an odd signing until Conte came.

Hopefully we get much smarter at it.

Tuchel wanted a striker since he authorised the sale of Abraham and Giroud. His first option was halaand and his second choice was lukaku...

Tuchel didn't do his due diligence concerning lukaku . Any little research would have shown that Lukaku is technically deficient and finds it hard to control the ball and make passes.

He fits a pure counter attacking team and not a possession based team

Imagine if we signed Martinez instead for 1/3 of the price we paid for Lukaku. I’d bet my house on him having a bigger impact, even if he’s not as good at finishing like Lukaku.

Theres no denying Lukaku is one of the best finishers in the world, possibly 3rd best. But his overall game is TERRIBLE.

If that is true it is mind blowing against Tuchel that he would accept such mediocrity unless he is not aware of players outside his bubble though for me that seems unlikley.

I'm denying that.

I can’t wait for us to ‘give him a chance to impress’ in pre-season before immediately remembering he’s complete sh*te after about two minutes (generous time frame).
