Tiémoué Bakayoko

Featured Replies

He's actually been playing regular football for years until now, I think he's good enough to play for a mid level team, Milan just didn't want to fork up for him.

I don't think he will fail to secure a loan for the next 2 seasons, which means we will probably extend his contract next year yay!

It’s like our scouting staff is totally hit or miss. We either hit them perfectly, and find hidden gems like Salah and de bruyne, Which of course we f**ked up by not keeping them to show their true talent, or we miss completely, like drinkwater, bats, Baka, Lumpkako, etc.  there is no ‘in between’ in our signings.

Most of the hidden gems we've found were under Emenalo. Since he left it's been nothing but dross mostly

Could have done with Bakayoko in the midfield today against Everton.....He would have made a real difference....

Who am I kidding - he obviously wouldn't have, except perhaps for making us concede an extra few goals a bit earlier, meaning I could have turned off the TV in disgust, rather than persevering

Horrible incident but he should seriously leave the club.

He wants to, Marseille board want to sign him but so far the manager there has blocked it.

Offered a free transfer to Monza, Forest and Newcastle.

Much better than the nonsensical decisions to extend his contract and loan him out for eternity.

Frankly I have no idea what we were doing for so many years.

Boehly is doing at getting rid of the deadwood all things considering. Him doing a far, far better job as director with zero experience should be a testament to how poorly we were run by our former one for so many years.

Loaning them out didn't really bother me because we got a few million each time, it all adds up. Extending their contracts just to keep doing it was annoying though. Eventually you just have let them go.

I think with loans being limited to 8 players now we're only going to reserve loans for our most talented youngsters hopefully

I read something about why we extend contracts for player son loan, it was all about the fee we paid for them. the fee we received for the loan and the impact on FFP contract amortisation.

I cant actually find where I read it at though now.....dammit. But it made sense,

I think it's a legal requirement as well. I don't think clubs are allowed to loan players out who are in the last year of their contracts. I complained on here a few weeks back that the extensions that Batshuayi, Rahman etc got before going on loans were pointless, but it turns out they needed to be done to allow them to go out on loan.

I'd love to see the financials of each loan ... I doubt the loan fees (if we actually even got them) covered what we were already out in paying a percentage of wages. It seemed a rather desperate strategy ... hoping that a player would have a decent enough loan to persuade a club to buy outright. thus mitigating the original crap decision to buy them in the first place.

He has yet to play for Milan as they are making sure to avoid the obligation in the deal that would mean they need to buy him.

Has been reported he and us are in discussions for the mutual termination of his contract, which would also allow his Milan loan to be terminated and him to find a club as a free agent.

I caught an old youtube replaying of a 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates and Bakayoko was playing for us with Fabregas, Hazard and Costa.

In the clip he actually looked decent closing down and winning the ball, there certainly is some mystery as to why when players put on the Blue shirt a month or so later they lose their form.
