Seems the bridge has been well & truly fortified by the new manager.

Costa to start. Home win.

Neil Swab-rick is ref. Strange name - makes  strange decisions sometimes.

Thats where he's been playing....

I still view the kid as a midfielder - I guess he does get forward into the attack like he did vs Peterborough

I think going forward is an attacking mid in 3-5-2 which Conte probably wants to get to. He kind of played in the gap between Bats and the midfeild against Peterborough which is better for him because he didnt have a big responsibility to track back which is a big hole in his game.

If he's going to be part of a 2 man midfield he'll  have to add that. Maybe he's being prepared for a more #10 role in the future

Against Peterborough we played our usual 3-4-3, with Willian on the right and RLC on the left.

Think he'll see Ake start tomorrow as we have Liverpool and Arsenal coming up. It would be a shame to rest Alonso but we need him for them games more.

Why would we rest a player for a game in 9 days time?

Swansea have offered a timely reminder that you cannot take these teams battling the drop, with new managers bringing fresh ideas, lightly.

It is important we show them respect and play to the top of out game. We have been handed a very surprising opportunity to move 10 clear of Liverpool ahead of our game at anfield. We must take it.

Golden opportunity to establish a massive lead vs Liverpool.

Hull's new manager, Marco Silva, is well regarded so I would expect him to play better against us than Mike Phelan's side did back in October.

If facial expressions and body language are anything to go by, Jürgen regrets telling everyone how we're annoyed they're "just" six points behind us.

Conte needs to make sure their is zero complacency tomorrow we have the opportunity to basically stuff it to the media and stick it everyone and kill their hope's of catching us

Under Conte we don't concede any shocking result against struggling or relegation zone opponents. We had only one draw against Swansea which was a disappointing results. I'm very confident about 3 points tomorrow.

For the first time this season I will not tolerate a poor performance tomorrow the players know what happen today tomorrow every single fan and player need to bring their "AAA" game tomorrow the fan's need to make Stamford bridge feel like hell for Hull make them scared panick we needed to press high press? hard pin them back from second zero basically give them zero rest..Come On Chelsea....!!!!

Stevie G back for 5 minutes and Liverpool are slipping up already

The curse of Steve Me is back at Anfield, happy days.

We have a great opportunity to stick our fingers up to the dregs come 6pm, hope we do a class act on Hull. This is it Chels it's our season.

chance to go 9 points clear he will be resting nobody I can promise you that

I hope this will be a good weekend for us. LiverSpuds have dropped some points and we'll have to wait to see what the Arses are up to.

Our record against Hull is inspirational, but as we know, we can't go in overconfident as we all know the unpredictability in this league.

Opening up a bigger gap today will help us with some tough games coming up.
