utd are tripe, but they always seem to get the fortune when they need it

They take their chances.

While we are utterly toothless. Does my head in

Ok free by Mata but keeper could have done better, nowhere near the corner. I’ve a problem with the awarding of the free, Martial passes the ball then accelerates straight into two defenders and falls down. Don’t think it says in the rules that defenders must clear the way for advancing attackers.

This ref has took the piss all game, lukaku has been a fat lazy bar steward though.

HA!

United are getting worse. 2 games in a row where they have let a game go with a last minute goal.

I'm happy to see that Smalling was the one who cocked up too after all of his pulling on players shirts in games.

Yeah utd really are a tripe......yet we hear nothing negative whatsoever.......god knows if he were here they would have taken him to the cleaners. But damn that last sec goal felt good man......LC thank you kindly.

Turned off after the sending off and went for a walk. Didn’t see Leicester coming back with ten men. Did Mourinho not park the bus at 2-1. Hallelujah, can’t wait to see it on MOTD.

It's obviously funny seeing United struggle, but at the same time it's seriously frightening how ridiculous the PL has suddenly become. I've spent pretty much most of my football aware life looking down my nose at the forgone conclusion that is Scottish football and suddenly we're in the same boat south of the border. Just how many titles will City win back to back?

Speaking of City, why the fcuk are they first up on match of the day again...I know they're setting records, I know the beeb have the tongue up pep's arse, but a token win over Bournemouth should not get top billing ffs..even the commentator sounded bored by the one sided affair

Nahh.........wont have that. I willing to bet city and pep wont be doing all this sh*t NeXT season......no way....imo of course.

For what it's worth, Lukaku played two absolutely beautiful through balls in the second half, both of which would have been goals had it not been for poor finishing.

A part of his game that has maybe improved. Both balls where played with perfect pace and really should have been finished for a couple of assists.

it's probably similar feeling for our rivals when we were dominant in jose's first season here and we won back to back titles. i feel the premier league in general has lost a lot of quality. people want to talk about our success in the cl, but most english clubs have played teams who have been poor. even real madrid have been poor this season. the lack of quality below 6th/7th place in the league this season is shocking. 10 years ago the premier league was so much stronger from top to bottom, not so much any more. i think it's a mix of city playing great and the rest have just not had enough quality, and when you have the money to spend like city it makes things difficult for the rest, even us and utd.

An interesting post, have teams got weaker or is the focus now on team organisation to stop better teams and not lose?

We hear it all the time X manager goes, new manager Y comes in and gets a few results and it's all down to being more 'organised'.

Can't help wondering at times if this is what kills some of the creativity.

I just don't think clubs are bringing in high quality players any more. outside the top 6 there's a sprinkling of quality, but overall teams have got weaker. 10 years ago the defences were better and conceded less goals on average, and the top sides scored less. the last few seasons the lesser sides have conceded far more. i don't think the defences are better, it's just there's not enough quality in midfield or attack going forward to scare teams as much. i don't remember during the seasons with jose or even utd during that era putting 4/5 past the minnows every other week. i could be wrong though, but the players were far higher quality back then too in comparison.

Don't they always start with the big teams and Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Utd and Spurs was all on tv. The only big game was played on friday.

No problem with them starting with City (PL leaders) and for yesterday no problem with us being last providing that was due to us having a goalless draw.

With the exception of City I'm not sure I agree. In the 90's when we were about fifth in the table we were beating teams 5 & 6 -0. Like Barnsley in 97.
