Am I the only one who thinks Salah is reminiscent of Robben back in the Chelsea days? Doesn't necessarily have a great game - and you know exactly what he is going to do with his last second cut and shoot on the left - but he pulls it off time and time again... electrifying pace.

i'm not gonna lie, liverpool seem to get the best out of attacking players. it must be their system and ability to play the game pressure free. torres played for them, was incredible, he comes to us and looks like sh*t. sturridge goes there, looks fantastic, salah the same, even mane has looked like a world beater.

Teams sit back with 9/10 behind the ball against us a lot of the time, against Liverpool/Spurs they play more expansive, so they end up with big defeats.

what did those guys win at LOLpool & what did they win playing for Chelsea? Looking good is one thing. Winning trophies is something else.

Liverpool can attack well because klopp has set them up for that, and they will either nothing because of it, but will batter lesser teams along the way. Their defense is embarrassing.

Seems utd fans are seeing what i saw in lukaku too now, he has been atrocious of late.

"AAnyone else just given up on Lukaku? I'd love for him to prove me wrong but right now it feels like Mourinho was chasing the ghost of Drogba with that signing, without seemingly noticing that Rom has basically none of the attributes Drogba had that made him so effective in a Mourinho team.

He's just perpetually caught on his heels, either too slow off the mark to get in between the defenders and the ball, or just having it nicked off him with ease when he does control it. I can look past the lack of technique on the ground if he was capable of a simple layoff/holdup game just so we don't concede possession constantly, but it feels like he's just incapable of even judging the flight of the ball, let alone get a head on it. Can't help but notice how the team seems to be trusting him less and less to hold up the ball either, they'll often pick a different option even when he's in a good position.

The less said about his constant finger pointing at teammates, lack of celebrations and defensive work in our box the better.

Dunno what it is, I'm usually happy enough to give players all the chances in the world to fail, hell I never gave up on Nani and Anderson ffs, but I can't help but have that feeling you get when you check your bank account after a night out and find out you somehow spent the better part of $200 with nothing but a hangover to show for it.

if it was true conte wanted lukaku, i don't know what he was thinking. i am glad we got morata instead. lukaku is a good striker, but he has his limitations. i think morata is much better for the way we want to play.

At the very least, Morata doesn't stand still and complain when a cross doesn't come his way.

Conte's been an admirer of Morata for some time now. I doubt it was him, but the board who preferred Lukaku.

f**k me, was there really a time when Oscar was rated as a better player than KDB (and Coutinho)?!!

Seems a LONG time ago that.

All we can hope is that the club has learnt from the costly mistake in the case of KDB (and now it appears Salah too) and that we give players a bit more time in future or at least make sure we have that much talked about buy-back clause.

At the time of Mazacar I actually thought Oscar would be the better out of the 3, that being Mata & Hazard. Especially after the Juventus game.

But under Rafa Benitez I thought he slumped a bit, he wasn't performing up to scratch consistently although he still looked like he had heaps of talent. Under Mourinho in the first 18 months, he looked VERY good. Great work-rate and could actually link up, after that though he massively declined, once we sold Mata and got rid of De Bruyne Oscar just didn't put in consistent performances again he was lacklustre.

I remember people writing De Bruyne & Salah off, Salah I could understand actually but De Bruyne I couldn't, he was still very young and looked impressive. Whereas Oscar people defended & defended despite the bad performances he was putting in consistently from 2015 and onwards, which again is understandable given that he looked a good player but he just didn't quite make it.

Now you look at the way De Bruyne & Salah are playing then you look at Oscar who's barely even playing well in the Chinese League, what a crazy transition.

there was an interview (not the chelsea tv one) after emenalo left the club in which he stated lukaku was conte's first choice. i am sure he admired morata too, but he obviously saw lukaku as a target man similar to costa.

where do liverpool get their money from ? spending another £75million in this window to go with the Salah and the Ox deals in the summer .

it seems they spend every transfer window without selling anyone ,apart from Suarez a few years ago. FFP must be dead

Don't forget Naby Keita.

They spend an awful lot of money for a team that doesn't win jacksh*t.

Man what the bloody hell......just saw all over the place that pool has got van dyke for 75m Pounds with 200k wages a week. Where in the f**k do they get all this Cash? And keita for 75 in on the way as well.

Life must be so good for klopp.....no pressure to win stuff.....no media asking him anything negative......and he gets to splash Cash.

Not that I want us to buy van dyke for freaking 75m.....but when even pool seem more willing to spend, then you know our board has been f**king around.

lets see what business we do in January. Hopefully our board stop dicking about and back Conte as every other club seem to be doing it.

You said it man.....every bloody manager in top flight is being backed.....jose has spent 300m since coming to utd.....pep 408m so far. We? Lets say we are in plus mode........

Can't see us buying anyone in January either if anything knowing our incompetent board we're probably gonna sell someone or send bats out on loan to a rival just to make a squad even weaker and Contes job even harder...:good2:
