December 20, 20178 yr I cheered just as loud for Bristol's goal as I did for Morata's. Well in Bristol - hope they do it if we don't. Oh and watch the pundits sweep this latest embarassement for Manure under the rug. Still fancy them to struggle against Seville. Edited December 20, 20178 yr by BordeauxBlue

December 20, 20178 yr Mourinho reckons Bristol were lucky. If he said it once in that interview he said it twenty times. Just f**k off Jose, you were outplayed and outfought again only this time you weren’t lucky to come away with the win but got what you deserved.
December 20, 20178 yr José was an absolute embarassment in the post match. Lets all forget about De Gea pulling off twenty stops In one game. No luck at all in that old chap. Once the players turn on Mourinho he's gone, all the signs are there... We of all people should know.

December 21, 20178 yr What I genuinely don't understand is that the FA seem to only take action against diving if the ref is conned by it. But what happens after the dive should be irrelevant. It should be the player's actions that determine if he gets punished or not, not the ref's. Jesus did a blatant dive in the box the other week, wasn't booked, didn't win a pen but there was no retrospective action. Lanzini did a less blatant dive at the weekend, won a pen, but has now been banned. They really need to start applying logic and consistency.
December 21, 20178 yr United without De Gea in goal is really a pretty ordinary team. Sure, it was a meaningless cup match ( not when Jose is winning it), but I'm be embarrassed if that was my team lost to BC. There were so called world class players in that line up, and the best English left back. On the upside, Pogba will get another hairstyle before next game, sometime I felt sorry for his hair. Jose is as classy as usual, if he's going to accuse the opposition being lucky everytime he loses, the least he could do is acknowledge his own fortune when results going his way. Sacking Clement was ridiculous, they wouldn't have been in this mess had Clement got to spend that 50M from the selling of his 2 best players. They will likely to hire Pullis who will get to spend a large chunk of that 50M, and turn them into WBA V2.0 Edited December 21, 20178 yr by icecoolguy22

Wasn't there some kind of chat after we lost to Bradford at home that the players were disgruntled that they did not specifically prepare for Bradford and consequently got a nasty surprise. I think Pulis might pass on Swansea.

That's the problem with Salah and Kdb, @Scott Harris, they have both improved OVER THE YEARS. I do wish people in here would stop wittering on about "the worst decision in the history of the world, ever" about selling them when they were both pants, and even more I wish people would stop saying "but, wah, wah, wah, they were never given a chance". I have great potential as a striker, should I be given a chance to play a whole series of matches in the Chelsea first team, even though I'm over 60 and Morata is currently better than I am? Bloody hindsight is a piss-awful way of judging anything. (That's not at you, by the way, just quoting you because you had noticed that " he's improved so much over the years,") I am sorry to come back to this "discussion", but I think that someone who was totally involved in the club at the time that KdB, Salah and Lukaku were here and then sold might, just MIGHT have a bit more insight than us fans, watching from the sidelines. Interesting read from some bloke called John Terry, reported in several places, that none of the "biggest mistake in footballing history, never given a chance, blah blah blah" revisionistas have bothered to post in here as it doesn't conform to their narrative. http://metro.co.uk/2017/12/18/john-terry-no-regrets-chelsea-sold-kevin-de-bruyne-romelu-lukaku-mohamed-salah-7169940/ Relevant part for me is where JT says, in direct quotes, "Despite their respective incredible upturns since leaving Chelsea, former Blues captain Terry believes there should be no regrets at Stamford Bridge. ‘Not really, because at the time they didn’t make our team stronger,’ he told Sky Sports when asked if they should regret selling them. ‘Let’s not forget we were one of the best teams probably the Premier League has ever seen, in them early days when they arrived. ‘So they was coming into one of the best sides which was even more difficult. ‘When they come in can they make a big enough impact to sustain and keep their place? No, it’s very difficult to do." The emboldening is me! So, do I accept the whining from some people because some players got better when they got older and more experienced, or do I respect the opinion of the greatest Chelsea icon of the recent era? My money is on JT. I thank you. Edited December 21, 20178 yr by yorkleyblue missed a word out - guess which one.

My money is on JT. I thank you. Yorkley, just because JT says what he does, it doesn't make the short-sightedness of selling KDB when we did look any better. It's like the bloke who turned down The Beatles "Oh, I didn't know they were going to go on and be as good & as big as that..............". Sorry fella, but that's YOUR JOB!! Not fussed about Lukaku and I think Salah has fooled and surprised many and very few could have foreseen the way he is now playing. But KDB was and will remain a shocker of decision and despite the JT article, he is outnumbered by just about everyone else in the game!!
