I just don't understand it, why is football the only sport where the refs have their own views on the rules ? You don't see it with refs and umpires in other sports. Football refs are all following the same rule book, how can they all have such different views on things if they all follow the same rule book ? As seen with the Confederations Cup, VAR won't help, how can it when refs can't seem to agree with each other on certain decisions ? This is why the VAR system should be taken out of the refs hands. Let the managers or captains decide when to use it.
August 19, 20178 yr Cahill's was over the ball definitely a red card. Mustafi's was a strong tackle but it wasn't high, it was more similar to alonso's that for him a booking, which I thought was harsh.

August 19, 20178 yr Just seen pogba's two challenges v Swansea...can't see much difference to Cesc last week..,but of course pogba isn't sent off and he goes on to score two, his header set up first and he passed for the fourth...
August 19, 20178 yr Always amusing to see Arsenal handed their reality check...what made them think after a penalty win in a friendly and a fortunate 4-3 home win over Leicester, that anything had changed?

When they scraped past City in the FA Cup Semi-Final last season they were suddenly Real Madrid after their annual mid-season sh*tfest.
August 19, 20178 yr Ozil is living off one good season as an Arsenal player. He's like Malouda was for us, but with less stamina- he always looks exhausted!

How the hell did he survive in Spain Mourinho usually yanks him off after an hour or so. I don't think he ever lasted 90+ mins at Real
August 20, 20178 yr Really think we missed a trick not signing Hernadez. I know, he doesn't link up well, can't hold the ball up, only good at scoring tap ins. But that's exactly what we are missing, someone score those cheap goals when we bombard the oppositions. He went to West Ham for god sake, surely we could have afforded him. There's always hope we could sign up for 40M next year after he scores 20 goals.
August 20, 20178 yr I thought that was why we had Pedro, although to be fair to Pedro he does score with the odd rocket!
August 20, 20178 yr This Newcastle Huddersfield game is quite poor quality, both sides very sloppy with the ball.
August 20, 20178 yr Wenger refuses to admit that Lacazette was offside, doesn't matter how marginal it was, he was offside. Granted it was tight and the linesman may have gotten lucky, but he was offside.
August 20, 20178 yr And Magpies, they returned to the Premer League so they can go back to the Championship again.

August 20, 20178 yr I'm watching Barcelona and Deulofeu has just set up the first 2 goals......what is going on ? Is Deulofeu going to start being a good player now ?
