August 31, 20178 yr Not sure if it's been posted but apparently will be done tonight - all over twitter various sources. Know nothing about him
August 31, 20178 yr His stats are decent and he has recently broken into the Italian national team. Is he right sided or left sided full back?
August 31, 20178 yr Sounds like a panic buy. In a position we don't need cover in either. Probably a bench warmer that we'll only see in FA cup or League cup games.
August 31, 20178 yr Right FB. if he can play Wing back he'll be a quality acquisition. Very happy with this.
August 31, 20178 yr I have to say this looks like a decent deal. 25 years old so meets the club's age criteria. I am happier with getting him than somebody like Rafinha
August 31, 20178 yr Not a panic buy, a good guy, hardly linked with Juventus when he was younger, right full back, a speed racer, with good quality of passing and crossing.

August 31, 20178 yr I can confirm that he was good for me in Fifa 16, so top signing. In all seriousness, I think it's a better deal than the Ox one.
August 31, 20178 yr He less versatile than Ox but he's better in his preferred position. We still need a CM, a striker and a LWB but I'll take this as a start.
August 31, 20178 yr A player I have been following for a long time The love child of Frank Zappa and Diego Costa
August 31, 20178 yr I have watched him in Serie A for a few years and am fairly familiar with him. Juventus at one stage were favourites to sign him before he signed for Torino. I can definitely see the Conte linkage here from his time with the Old Lady. He has a good if somewhat inconsistent shot in him and has a fair amount of pace. Beats opponents better than Moses but as per his shot taking, he has a somewhat limited end product. My question marks regarding him would be his marking and coverage of attacking players. All in all, a better buy than Oxlade-Chamberlain for a right wing back role and I rate the Italian players' defensive and tactical ability at a much higher level than any English defender. I am satisfied with this purchase and it looks like it's happening as reports are coming in that hevsnd his attorney have arrived in London.

We absolutely need cover at right wingback, if he doesn't displace moses then that's fine, we have an option if moses is out injured, or suspended. If he's good, and does displace moses, then we've strengthened our starting 11. All this whinging about not signing anyone from our fans, then when it looks like we've signed someone, the whinging intensifies.
August 31, 20178 yr Makes a lot of sense and reckon he will fit the formation well, Conte obvs knows what he's getting after selecting him for the Italy squad. Better than ox for sure. now if we could sneak some Drinkwater, Llorente, Mahrez and Barkley would be decent.

Dyna did post again saying he thought he was a CB and to be fair if he was a CB I would have agreed with him. Can't say I'm too familiar with the player myself, but the posts here seem to be mainly positive, so if you guys are happy then I'm happy!

August 31, 20178 yr Who the f**k is this guy? Come on, Emenalo, we had heard about Marcos Alonso and David Luiz. But this is too much.

Since you watch Serie A, what would you say are his key strength? And what about his crossing? Any good?

August 31, 20178 yr Yes, of course. And if now Stoke City steals him from us, he will become scrub. I know this.
August 31, 20178 yr WhoScored.comVerified account @WhoScored 51m51 minutes ago More Davide Zappacosta: Only A. Sandro (48) has made more accurate crosses from open play of Serie A defenders than Zappacosta (47) since Jan '16
August 31, 20178 yr He can cross a football, that's a rare skill in this day and age. I'm sick and tired of seeing players deliver rubbish crosses and corners, dead ball specialists failing to beat the first man, or they over hit it, if he can take a good corner and deliver good crosses for Morata to head in, then I'm firmly on his side.

Yep, i love Moses work rate and energy but watching him try and deliver a decent cross is painful. Hopefully this guy can add something different if and when we need him.
