A very special player has had 8 that I don't think anyone wants to follow in the foot steps of...Oscar. 

Based on my watching Zappacosta in Serie A, I believe he will displace Moses sooner or later.  He is far more intelligent going forward as he knows when to release the ball and read opponents' movements which is another important trait an effective wing-back needs to have.  

Did not know as much about him honestly having not followed Serie A that closely and not known we were after him till yesterday, but from what I've seen and read now seems like real potential to be a good addition to the team, so pleasantly surprised by this signing - welcome to him!

Who scored points bout that his weaknesses are:

Tackling

Defensive contribution

 

While his strength is:

Shooting from distance.

 

So... That kind of player then.

If you squint his name looks a bit like Zambrotta.

He's taken the #21. Good choice for a right back, has a 2 in it. Carrying on the legacy of Salomon Kalou and Nemaja.

So does he come straight in for Moses, or is he the backup? I don't know how good/bad he is.

Seems like a very underrated player, read some stats about him and few reports about him. Only Alex Sandro has got more and better statistics, we might be got one of the best defenders in the Seria A.

It was a comparison of defenders. Both of which they are.

Doesn't matter, the statistics I saw were about RB's and LB's, generally about Seria A's defenders. For example, only Alex Sandro has made more accurate crosses than Zappacosta. The position is not the main subject here.

I don't think we were, if Ox had joined us I think we would have still tried to sign Zappacosta, Drinkwater and Llorente.

I'm still annoyed how we didn't get Llorente, he would have made the squad look much better.

To be precise, he's a right wing back.  He lost his place this season as Torino switched to a back four and he's not suited to be a tight back due to his weaknesses in marking and tackling.

A very solid player. He played well for Torino last season and has good experience playing in the top Italian League.

Pleased with this signing. Conte will be very aware of this player and his ability.
