Re: Fekir being very left footed. I guess you could say most players are. That being said, he has scored a few with his right... And he does occasionally cross /pass with the right. 

 

He scored a goal from the half way line this season where he shifted it to his right and let fly. And one of his goals was a one on one vs the keeper where he used his right. You'd have to have some ability and confidence in your right foot to do that, to be fair.

Still. He is quite left footed. As is Mahrez. (And Robben, and you could add Salah to that as well.)

It could be worse, a lot of journo's quote 'Twitter' users for knowledge. Have you seen the state of some of the quotes around from Twitter, truly embarrassing.

In my view we need a back up LB and a replacement CB for luiz, as well as a competition for Morata (not a back up/understudy), but a proper competition. My ideal Jan window would be:

I wouldn't sell Luiz in the middle of the season. An injury or 2 and we'd be massively regretting it, plus I still think he could play LCB instead of Cahill, I'm sure he used to play on the left years ago.

If Baba is back from his injury soon, I would start easing him into contention for the LWB position.

Really I would have liked us to sign a better RWB, but it's not been 6 months since we signed Zappacosta and we're not going to get rid of him any time soon, so we're stuck there.

 

I'd like a better option up front, since Michy is obviously not in Conte's plans, and ideally a better attacking option than Pedro/Willian as well.

That Roma match really did Luiz.

He was doing alrighty till that point. Some of his old slackness was creeping back in but alright he was.

(Interesting spelling for Fekir you have there... I wonder where you're from...?)

If we are going to buy anyone in January, I hope the deal is already done and can be concluded early. 

Hard to see us buying anyone who will significantly improve us in January given teams are unlikely to sell players who could mate a difference to their season. 

Also tough to convince players to move to a new club 6 months before a World Cup,  unless they aren't getting matches now.

I'd love a striker and a new left back though. Baba may fit the bill for the latter.

Reading all the articles on Dick Van Dyke you'd think he's the greatest CB in the world. £75 million for an unproven CB is insane. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if he struggles at Liverpool. Need to start investing in some English/British talent. Always thought as a versatile defender Ben Davies would be a great signing. Extremely underrated footballer who has played at the highest level domestically and internationally. He wouldn't break the bank too. Think he'd fit in well too.

Squad player?   I don't see him making the first 11, not this season anyway

Squad player who could fill LWB and LCB. Very underrated player. Always thought he looked good on the ball and solid in defence. He's the type of player you'd want in your squad. Sure we were eyeing him a while back. He's a sheaky good player.
