That's what I'm beginning to think too. At this point, I think the only reason Sarri isn't playing him is because of stubbornness, that is he doesn't want to look like he is caving into the pressure from the fans and media to play him.

I wouldn't rule that out. This is the club where he came through the ranks, and I am sure he would be interested in staying if he sees a path to becoming a first team regular in the near future. None of us know what the club is planning regarding the manager, or players. I am hoping that the club is making a new contract for CHO one of the top priorities.

The way he has been treated this season through lack of playing time is disgusting,

clearly a very special talent who should be ahead of underperforming players on many occasions this season,

complete inept manager who seems to think he's played way too much (10 minutes here an there!) for an 18yr old.

I'm not denying he should have played more but let's not spin a false narrative that's it's been ten minutes here and there.

He's been brought on in cup finals , started semi's, came on in the league games with the scoreline in the balance. While he should have played more his appearances have been far from the odd ten minutes here and there.

To me there is a big mental difference to starting and coming on from the bench. The day before a match when the manager tells you you’re sub again it’s dissappointing and you’re left not knowing if you’re going to get a run and then when you do come on it takes a while to get up to speed and you’re sh*t scared of messing up with no time to put things right.

on from the start and you up for it for 24 hours and know you’ll have time to impress.

i think CHO deserves a run of games and if he knows this I can see even more of his true talent coming out with the confidence that would give him.

will Sarri give him his run of starts. Not a f**king chance. Stubborn, set in his ways and will not bow to popular opinion. Well that’s what I think of Sarri, maybe he’ll prove me wrong.

Was generally referring to league games, hardly far from 10 minutes,

League appearances so far this season = 8, minutes played = 119, average minutes per game = 14.87. 

Has played more in Europa league and cup games but should of played more here again.

Hate to say it but there are going to be a lot of clubs in for him in the summer, clearly needs to play more.

I find it disrespectful that he’s looking to abandon Chelsea, the team that has given him everything to get to this point. He’s getting plenty of minutes at his age and he’ll get even more next year. We haven’t built the academy to bring players up only then having to sell them at 18. The club have pretty much told him that he’s the future of Chelsea. People don’t seem to realise that he is defensively not ready and is not consistent in games which is normal if you are 18. He development is ongoing. I wish we had someone like JT or Lamps in the team to give some mentorship and guidance. As a last option offer him the no 10 shirt which is what bayern have done and see if that changes his mind. Otherwise keep him next year as we are not able to buy anyone due to the travel ban and let him leave on free.

Wtf is this now...Callum took his chance 99% of the time he was on the pitch he was either making an assist or a goal how's that not outstanding, specially compared to other wingers that have been average whole season??

I mean, Sancho is also 18 years old but he has played in Bundesliga over 20 (!!) games this season and has over 30 (!!!) games in total so obviously another team is putting their trust and playing him more and woooooow that's the result isn't it, he looks better than CHO so obviously CHO should be on the bench, well with that logic he's going to be his whole life on the bench...How can he reach his potential if he's on the bench?

Sancho played more games and looks more confident that's a good reason why CHO should also play more.

To be fair it’s hard to get goals and assists when our attack is so blunt.

Any player who can get two assists from Morata goals in one game should be seen as world class

Totally agree. Sarri is a huge problem here, CHO is a very special talent we need the right manager in charge of him.

That certainly makes sense, in no way should we do a deal with Liverpool or another top six side. That is if he still wants to go at the end of the season.

Now United are trying to turn his head apparently. 

With all this interest he can basically chose where he wants to go.

Sancho didn't play last year at all and left the premier league to be a bench player at dormund where he scored goals and got given a start in October. 

CHO is playing this year. He's a year younger (in school year terms). I imagine he will play a lot next year for us if he stayed and could become a first team player.

Ray Wilkins was CFC captain at 18.

Jimmy Greaves had started scoring goals for us (at a startling rate) for us at 17.

We have to give him some more Premier League time.

He may just turn out to be as good as the two above mentioned youth players.

 

Sky sports news reporting expected to make his first start for England tonight

If I'm Marina Granovskaia I'd be having a quiet word in Sarri's ear and telling him he needs to start thinking about giving CHO some serious minutes between now and the end of the season. 

We as good as blown our chances of making the top four with the abysmal results against Wolves and Everton so let's start looking at next season. 

Chances are Hazard will leave and we're banned from making new signing in the summer. So how about we convince one of the countries most exciting talents that Chelsea is best place for him? 

He could be the future of Chelsea for more than the next decade if we play this right but all the while Europe's biggest clubs are in his ear and we're not even willing to give him a start in the league, despite the attack being out biggest problem, he's going to be second guessing himself. 

Play him. Play him lots... We stand to lose more by not doing that than we do with playing the over the hill pair of Willian and Pedro. 

Think it's an absolute joke that he hasn't started and played more in the premier league, so if it happens he stands to start a competitive international game before his premier league start.

This guy could potentially be a club legend for the next 10/15 years, why risk losing him??? why are we wasting anymore time with a manager that doesn't play him.

It seems that most people are focused on having a dig at Sarri for CHO playing for England but let's look at the other perspective. This is a massive moment for the club either way. We have the youngest English international to play a competitive game. Let's celebrate and hope everything just goes up for him from here

If Hazard goes and the transfer ban is upheld, then the club need to be doing everything to make sure CHO feels like he's a big part of our future. Even if it wasn't the case with Hazard, we still need to be holding onto him and prioritising him over the likes of Willian. That's nothing against Willian, I rate him higher than most here I feel, but CHO is clearly a special talent, and it would certainly mean a lot to us fans to have a young English talent come through the Academy ranks and stake a claim to being a future club legend. Especially with the grim prospect of missing out on the CL and a transfer ban looming...

If he does get a few starts in the league in the last few weeks, then all in all, it has been a pretty decent integration on the face of it. 

He still probably should've played twice as much as he has so far this season, but it has been a very gradual introduction. 

I agree with @ForeverCarefree, marina needs to apply some pressure on sarri to play him. 

If sarri has any hope of keeping his job beyond the summer, one of the key things will be winning the fans back over, I think playing Cal and Ruben regularly will help that, and realistically, we need both players to become integral with the ban coming up. 

Hope he starts tonight and has a strong perfomance.
