I hope we use him, he has been with the first team for sometime now and hasn't been used

Please god let Conte use him.

Him running at Trippier in the second half can be a very good weapon for us to use from the bench

Conte is very cowardly when it comes to youth players. He plays them 1 every couple of months and then slags them off for not having the required experience and says they need to be patient.

He took the cake with his Chalobah/Bakayoko comparison, especially in hindsight as Bakayoko is awful and we could've used Chalobah this season.

I'm tired of these useless tweets, we all will see him probably on the bench and watching the first team playing. Doesn't matter if Pedro, Willian, Hazard, Giroud, Morata will be poor, he won't be used. Please god make me wrong!

I'm always looking on how our youth and I can say that we have the best academy in the world, winning the CL two years in a row, always being at the top and growing up very talented player. The way we use our talents is poor, we're always looking to buy someone but forget about our youth.

Callum Hudson is a very rated player, I'm pretty sure at a different club he already could be a starter. Ajax last season reached the final of the Europe League, their squad is almost used by their academy players.

Even 5 minutes for him against Spurs would be good, but he deserves more.

yeah, not sure how he would be needed with hazard and willian available. maybe, just maybe (unlikely though in a big game like this) he will get a cameo later in the game.

Just seen this.

Bit of a laughable comment really considering Conte has given more chances and minutes to youth players since Ancelotti was here and has arguably played youth/academy the most since Roman's arrival at the club.

Let's not forget that he's promoted 21 year old Christensen to first choice.

This season has given minutes to Hundson-Odoi, Ampadu, Sterling and Kyle Scott.

Ampadu is injured for the rest of the season, Scott looked out of his depth when he played and Hudson-Odoi has made I believe 4 appearance despite only being 17.

There's a lot to be annoyed with Conte over this season but youth isn't one of them.

Every single manager at Chelsea has been cowardly with youth. Trying to make out that Conte is great because he is slightly better then them is ridiculous. If we want to compare him to somebody then we compare him to his competition at Liverpool/United/City/Tottenham.

He completely fails at integrating youth players when compared to his competitors (Other then perhaps guardiola). You are just so used to absolute crap that you settle for 98% crap. I would argue that he gave less chances to youth then previous managers as well.

Christensen doesn't really count as he has been a first team regular for two years. If you count him then you count a lot of other players for other teams who I imagine you wouldn't count.

We're one of the biggest spenders in regards to transfers in England, those closest to us in terms of spend are City and United and they're not exactly flooding their first teams with youth either are they, who was the last player City had come through their ranks?

With regards to Spurs, their flushed with youth products but what's it won them to date? Nothing. Yes they've built a solid team over the last 3/4 years but second place is just the first loser... We've won the title twice in that period.

Who exactly should Conte have been playing that is cowardly? Frankly your comments are dripping with hyperbole and read as a cheap dig at our management.

We spend roughly the same amount as Liverpool and slightly more then Tottenham. We sell our assets to buy assets so it's not as if we are stacking the squad full of expensive players like United and City do. Even then, Mctominay has had more minutes for United then any Chelsea youth player this season or last season.

Suggesting you can't win anything with youth players being integrated is a dumb and disingenuous point. Monaco won last season whilst playing youth, Ferguson had the class of 92 win the treble and Barcelona created the greatest club slide ever from youth products. Pointing at Tottenham and going "ha ha, no trophies" whilst we languish in 5th with half our team refusing to sign contracts or wanting to move, full of overpriced averge players, a manager that slags off the club every interview and a management that has about as much direction as a blind, deaf and dumb duck is a bit weird.

Acknowledgement that last season was a one off and not the norm and that to continue competing we have to change our style of management or else run the risk of falling into oblivion, pretending to live off of past glories whilst our rivals are actually competing and winning trophies, is not hyperbole, it's being realistic.

All of our players have been replaced by worse players and we are at a point where we now have no players of value to generate enough funds to spend any more. We have to increase the value of the players we currently have to have any chance of competing and we can only do that by actively encouraging the youth players to play. Unless you advocate selling Hazard, Courtois and Willian (The only players that can generate enough revenue to actually allow us to go on a spending spree similar to this season) which will weaken the side completely and lead to crap, inferior replacements as we buy quantity over quality.

There is a reason why the club are after Jardim. They clearly acknowledge that we cannot compete by doing what we currently are doing and know that we need to adopt an approach similar to Monaco if we want to remain competitive.

Lets not forget that Mctominay is getting quite a lot of minutes because Jose has had a falling out with Pogba.

I mean you're having to go back 26 years to give me an example of youth integration working in England, it's not exactly a tried and tested model is it? As for that Barca side, that was a freak of nature that happens once in a blue moon. They've not exactly been littering their team with academy players since have they?

We're 5th, Spurs are 4th. They're one place higher than us... I'm sure they'll have an open top bus parade for it but it's not exactly flushing them with silverware is it? End of the day trophies in the cabinet is what it's all about and our business model has been more suceessfull than any other club in England since Roman came to Chelsea.

It's this ideological fantasy that some fans trumpet that you can litter the first team with youth players and win everything... But look at the players we've sent out on loan and sold this year. Chalobah and Loftus-Cheek have had forgettable seasons, Zouma's been part of the worst defence in the league. Abraham is behind a sluggish Wilfred Bony. There isn't much to suggest we'd be any better off with any of them around.

To be fair though though only reason Christensen is playing is because Cahill is declining badly and Luiz has been injured all season. Lets not forget Conte wanted Van Dijk and if we got him Christensen would have been on the bench all season.

But even with Cahill’s stuttering form he was was initially being preferred to Rudiger.

I definitely think Conte has shown a lot of faith in Christensen this season, he’s made 37 appearances so far which is probably only better by Dave out of our defenders.

I would be interested to see you answer the question asked; which youth players do you believe Conte should have been playing?

got another, 3 nil now

This is the perfect time to give Hudson Odoi a run in the first team.

We have some meaningless PL games coming up as we have nothing to play for.

Hazard is a little out of form and also deserves a break for attempting to carry the team individually for most of the season.

Stick him in the team and see how he gets on. We have nothing to lose.

Appreciate this guy is young but he is the best I have seen in the academy for a long time. I'm just nervous about him not getting a chance.

I know he's only 17, but let's give him a run in the first team RIGHT NOW. Let's get him that little bit of Premier League experience now and see what comes of it. You never know, he may get a goal and couple of assists, that could set him up perfectly for next season. It's better than persisting with something that hasn't worked all season. We have nothing to lose now, it's 5th or 6th for us, we may as well experiment a bit.
