Lack of energy is the number one problem... It may be hard to imagine these players could experience that insofar as they play an awful lot of games in a season, but this is actually a problem for us atm. And also, you would remark that generally, the big guns in the PL or in any league in europe don"t generally have to play every game with high intensity or they could afford that because they got a big depth in their squad ... something we don't have thanks to the ***** in charge at the board :) !

There is a definite pattern with us dropping points after European games. 

Title is gone, has been been for a while tbh. It will be a battle for 4th this season with arsenal and spurs, I think Liverpool's firepower will see them through. 

Really downbeat after that one. Wish we were a better attacking team. We are decent on the counter, but when it comes to mounting pressure, we don't seem capable.

A lot of these players have played in this league for a long time, they should understand how it works by now. It seems to be a Chelsea thing. I don't see other teams start so slowly in games as often as we do. You can usually see how the first 20-25 minutes of a game is going to go in the first minute of our games. We should be looking to dominate games from the off, but we rarely do.

The only player that seemed to be ready for this game from the off was Kante, everybody else looked half asleep.

Slow start cost us badly, but west ham took their chance and defended very well there on out. Today was always going to be tough as a derby and also with west ham coming off a positive performance vs city. We need to look to Huddersfield now which is another tough game. 

There needs to be a reaction on Tues because today we've dropped points and allowed utd breathing space and liverpool the chance to get on equal points with us with a win tomorrow.

Please don’t be so naive mate. A handful of posts on here and he’s chucking about terms like that. Irrelevant of how he meant it, it’s not an acceptable term to use.

This squad is too thin IMO.

Also while I consider Bakayoko and Morata to be very talented, I certainly think they're a work in progress. 

Awful from us, great from WH. Title is so much in the distance. Derbies seem to be our achilles heel. Keep on fighting.

This lose is on Conte 100%. First of all you cannot play the same 11 after intense game against Atletico. Not in December at least. 

Second - not playing Batschuay was a huge mistake. I don't see any sense putting in Willian and Pedro when we were practically playing the same dumb football style, searching for break through middle. We didn't use our flangs and he ingored Michy for Willian and Pedro? Why... why didn't we move the ball to the wings, for god sake?

Third - against midiocre teams like wh we can afford to play with Cesc and Kante. Bakayoko just wasted 45 minutes. He left and I didn't see any problem with our middle. 

Conte lost this match. And of course Torres but no need to say that.

Obviously the Premier League season is over for us. I really had high hopes tonight that we won't go down to the second worst team in the league particularly after we went down agains the first worst team.

However, it did happen and our season is over. I was hoping despite our inconsistencies that we could keep it together and since the Mancs were playing tonight in their derby, our incentive to keep alive was our lifeline. It wasn't meant to be.

I really doubt I will have any further interest in our team going forward and most likely won't be as enthusiastic as before. Our hopes are alive in other competitions, and I do hope we show up for them.

To our supporters, I salute you and may we come back stronger than ever next year! KTBFFH!

Huddersfield away won't be a walk in the park so hope teams freshened up... certainly seems the title is out of reach but we're still in the cups and top 4 is important for us so the team better come out from this angry and ready to fight.

Bloody hate the hammers and Moyes too which makes it a lot harder to take - fingers crossed they go down 

Shocker of a performance a real lack of energy and drive, the complete opposite of what we have seen from us the last few weeks. 

Title looks a long way away now assuming city win tomorrow so we really need to focus on just making that top 4.

Or just admit that west ham defended really well. We tried to score, but west ham were, as expected, super motivated to beat us at their place as they always are. It is what it is, one team either wins or loses or draws, no point crying over spilt milk now.
