Alvaro Morata

No point dropping him or playing the false 9, he's our best option for the rest of the season even he's been playing poorly this year. He needs more crosses in the box, which haven't been there. Moses was good at running defenders, but he never put in a cross without getting to the byline, usually opportunity has gone by then.

I'd argue there is every point dropping him.

He's been bought to score goals, he's failing to do his job. 10 games without a goal for a £60m striker? Not good enough, I think Torres' longest spell without a goal was 14 games, that tells you just how poor Morata has been since November.

Drop him Giroud, at least Giroud looks to have a bit of fight in him.

Not sure he needs crosses, we've not really played that way for years, we generally play our way through the middle and the wing backs stretch the opposition defences to create gaps for the likes of Hazard, Willian and Fabregas to play through.

Torres gave 100% every single match, despite not scoring many goals. I loved Torres, even though he has been sh*t.

Morata, I’m not sure if I even like him. No fight in him

You're joking aren't you? I remember many games where Torres was purely picked because of the price tag and all he would do is sulk after sulk when he couldn't score a goal. His latter half of Chelsea he gave it his all yes but the first half of his career here he was a nightmare.

Disagree, Giroud looks far FAR better than him atm.

You have got to be kidding, he spent half his time meandering aimlessly round the pitch.

I have a lot of faith in Morata and I think he'll definitely become a great striker here. But I'm shocked at how mentally weak he appears to be and that isn't a good trait for a forward.

Any striker is going to struggle  with the tactics Conte deploys  is it any wonder Hazzard does not complete 90 mins  in the big games  Morata  would do fine if we  gave him some support  , Costa couldnt take our way of playing any more  Batshuayi  didnt fit Conte style of play and now Morata ,  Conte  is to defensive  he hopes to hold on to a lead if possible He used the same tactics with italy and got found out when it counted , Sorry time to move on Conte

Torres contribution to the game was very less,he was very one dimensional player and had lost his pace when he was with

Morata has already scored 10 goals and made 4 assists in the league that's more than what Torres managed in a season for us

A good player but a striker needs a bit of luck and he's not getting it. His goal was well taken and the shot against the bar was a cracker. On another day he would have scored two.

I don't think you can call him a striker yet. The shot against the bar was a miss in front of an open goal, unlucky to not go in, but those are the chances he doesn't seem to score from, the tap in poachers goals. The offside goal was a little unlucky but he should of made sure he didn't give the officials chance to raise the flag by holding back just a touch more.

For God's sake, I give up.

Ok you got it.

He looks good, he looks hopeful, lets give him time to develop, say goodbye to fourth place.

He was absolutely dog sh*t on Sunday, but you can't criticize him for that disallowed goal, he was onside, but you want him to be more onside? Is fabregas at fault for not passing quicker?

If he delays his run, maybe he wouldn't have even gotten the chance. It was a perfectly timed run and pass, which was ruled out by a poor decision.

Very concerned by morata now though, He is performing well below his capabilities. His finishing has never been this bad at previous clubs.

Maybe giroud needs to start a few games, but at the same time, we have invested heavily in morata and we need to try and make this work.

It was unlucky, could of gone either way, even VAR would of struggled to call it, i was jumping about thinking it was a goal, and then i cursed the official, but seeing it again it's a close call.

All good strikers drift offside, Kane did the weekend and had a goal disallowed, he also missed chances. But he also scored the winner, because he kept going and going, right till the end, he never dropped his head, he just got on with it.

Morata should watch Kane and learn to fight for every ball, for every minute, keep going and never stop until you get pulled.

So reports are now he is a whinger and getting on his team mates nerves in the dressing room.

Morata's 'glass half empty' attitude is one of the reasons his performances have dropped of late.

Have you ever played football? "He should have stepped back a tad"🤤

You ragged on me for comparing Morata to Kane but here you are doing the same thing.

Yes, I realize you point out a difference due to the fact that Kane scored the winner.

I agree that Morata should definitely model some aspects of his game to match Kane’s, if not all of it.
