Morata succeeds to lose 2 balls and then he completely stood, plus received a yellow card and was on his way to receive red. It looks like he doesn't want to put effort, he is not hungry and not motivation, you could see this on his warm up. 

I'm tired of him, never wanted him here as well.

He really has imploded. Who knows where his head is at? 

He's becoming more and more like Torres... I don't see him getting back to form this season. Next season fresh start, new manager maybe and hopefully he will be better. I've written him off for Giroud for the rest of this season.

Glad he is banned. Just an awful, awful footballer.

Pampered, that is his problem. He had it easy playing for clubs that have everything their own way (Real Madrid and Juventus) but he comes here where things are a lot tougher and just sulks.

I think we all can understand the reason why Zidane prefered to play with Benzema ( in poor form ) and in Juventus, he also was a backup striker.

He's definitely reinforced the cursed number 9 shirt theory as he's bloody useless. He's a big girls blouse and he's practically stealing a living right now. And as for the 'it's his first season in this league' excuse; what makes anyone think that his regression through the season will suddenly see him start tearing up the premier league after a summer holiday? I am no authority on the Spanish national team, but he must have a snowball in Hell's chance of playing in the World Cup.

I felt really agitated with him. Such a whiney prick, I hope he comes good for us but at the moment he’s doing my head in.

Really losing my patience with him.

I keep defending him but you can't excuse his recent form, it's embarrassing. As much as I disliked Costa as a player he didn't drop off like this, always got his head in the game, Morata something else at the moment. Giroud looked gutted he didn't score but had a smile on his face and kept going and going, this bloke is renowned as a bottler because he was at Arsenal for so many years and failed to score in big games. What the f**k does that say about Morata? Keep playing Giroud at this rate, Morata needs to buck his ideas up. 

It's the petulant whining that he does that irritates me. Constantly getting booked because he thinks this is Madrid and he can act like a piece of sh*t is ridiculous. The club should fine him every time he gets a yellow card, that should stop him.

Not a fan of Morata I must admit. But as 1 of only 2 strikers, we have to persist with him this season at least. I'd have Giroud play all our key games and Morata the lesser games until the end of the season. Although with the pickle we're in, all our games are key games now!

I suspect Morata has developed a persecution complex. All those fouls he doesn’t get (mostly correctly) when he flops to his arse must make it feel like the officials are conspiring against you. I’m sure certain people here can empathise with that...

There is no escaping the fact that he has been a massive disappointment, and after an optimistic start too. It's very difficult because of our position, do we play Morata in the hope that he comes good, a goal could transform him, or do we go with Giroud.

Playing Giroud ahead of him is going to do nothing for his confidence, but for the good of the team Giroud looks the more likely to produce. I desperately want him to succeed as 70m is a hell of a lot of money, as someone said previously a new manager could revitalise him but we need goals now. 

I think Conte should give him a start on Wednesday, he's familiar with that environment and a good performance or a goal might restore the confidence that he's been clearly lacking.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the idea to start Morata in an important match like the one against Barcelona with the hope he might play well and get his confidence back. Conte is either knows he's good enough to start him, or he knows he's not good enough. Can't imagine Conte hoping (or even gambling) he's good enough. That may only happen if we're losing and we throw the kitchen sink at them 75 mins from time.

Problem is, we haven't lesser games anymore, we need to win every games until the end of the season. Giroud should be start every ours games until the end and Morata gets few minutes only

Don't think this season will be the end of problems with this guy. We either continue to play him and get sub-par performances or we bench him and he starts to throw tantrums.

Bringing him in as the marquee striker might have been a big mistake. Conte should not have been so quick to push Batshuayi down as a clear backup.
