Next Chelsea Manager

Who would be your choice as Chelsea manager going into next season? 213 members have voted

  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

What?!!

Surely those mail stories are bs.

Let's just keep conte for one more year. It makes financial sense.

Yes I hear the argument about willian and tibo and hazard leaving if we do but sheesh we seem to wet ourselves at the prospect of hazard going but, as great as he is, he, imo, is not up there with drogba, lamps or Zola. We survived them going we will survive without Eden.

No more secret agent Conte and his sabotage methods...

“Majority of the main publications confirmed we agreed terms with Sarri 2 weeks ago! The reason it’s not happened yet is Chelsea don’t want to pay the €8m & are confident his lawyers can get him out. Nothing to do with his alleged past. His release clause ran out last night, it’s only now they can try to get him out his contract.“ Simon Phillips

“People just desperate for me to tell them Sarri coming 100%! Nobody can ever say 100% in football, things change. Only Chelsea officials know what they will do. I still think Sarri will join. But we DID interview Blanc a few weeks back.”

Obviously Blanc is a fall back option but really don’t want him. It must be so frustrating for the Chelsea board dealing with ADL who is nutter. I do back the club in not giving into Napoli’s demands. They’re playing hardball.

That clause expires at midnight on Thursday but, once that deadline passes, the fee to secure Sarri will have to be determined via negotiation.

So the release clause no longer applies but the current stand off between Sarri and Napoli means that it could take a while for everything to be resolved.

In the meantime, Conte has not been sacked and is still our manager.

I'm starting to dislike the way we've gone about this though. Sarri seems to have been the coach we wanted to replace Conte, we knew Conte would be leaving. However, we seemed to have dragged this out and now there's talk of legal action between ADL and Sarri. Did Sarri really need all this? I am assuming he thought it would be more straight forward, and that Chelsea would want to pay his release clause. How must Sarri feel to know that Chelsea don't even want him enough to pay the clause? If we desperately wanted him, the release clause should have been paid for immediately. We have the money. It's just a bit of a d**khead move on our part. How to make a new coach feel welcome, eh? haha.

We should really stop dealing with Napoli after this. They are a massive pain in the arse to us.

I hate when fans say stupid things like this because they are blinded by emotional bias.

Napoli are simply looking out for their own interests, same as any other club including Chelsea would and should do.

It's sounds as if both Sarri and Chelsea knew it would come to this though with the clause never being in the picture and they seem pretty confident that it won't be an issue or at least I hope they are confident

And heck if I were Sarri and I was replaced but was not allowed to leave id be royally pissed and wouldn't want Napoli to get a single penny for me.

We don' know what has gone on and hopefully Sarro has been onside throughout this while process otherwise it doessend an aweful message.

Sarri worked in banking in London, i'm pretty sure he knows a thing or two about brinkmanship and making sure you do everything to get the best deal possible.

Do you apply the same flawed logic to players? "oh you only offered £45m for me, if you really wanted me you'd have offered £55m to get it done sooner" :laugh2:

We dont have that same mentality as a club though Roman is happy to sell to rivals and listen to his players wants.

yes we try and eek out every penny were we can but it' not quite the same duck you mentality.

That is simply goodwill from Roman to employees he deems to have given good service to his club.

If I give a free Caribbean holiday to every employee on their 10th anniversary of working for me, that makes me a nice guy, it doesn't make any employer who doesn't do the same a cnut.

No one has unlimited money to spend, if being patient means save a few Million pounds, why not? What rights do we have accusing Roman being  this and that, it's not like any of us invested millions into the club.

Sounds logical

Lets risk losing our best player and two more of our top players to keep around a manager that bitched and moaned all season, badly under-performed and quite obviously didn't give a sh*t half the time
