Next Chelsea Manager

Who would be your choice as Chelsea manager going into next season? 213 members have voted

  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

Cesc just confirmed on twitter pre-season is in fact starting tomorrow.

With no word of Conte being sacked yet and no immidiate news on Sarri either i assume Antonio Conte and his team will be in charge.

De Laurentiis have toyed with Marina this summer. Quite embarrassing really how silly we have looked trying to force Napoli to give us a discount when AdL very clearly have said he doesn't do those. Now we are in a sh*tty situation and are getting desperate. And Chelsea don't do smart things when they are desperate...

Yawnnnnn.......

Basically this thread captures the modern fans lust for the next shiney thing because they're bored of their current shiney thing, it's incredibly tedious.

sounds like the mindset of our owner also :hiding: what have we had now 10, 11 managers since 2003 all being the next best shiny thing.

and during this period we’ve been the best club in England (by trophy count) using this strategy of hiring new managers to keep things fresh... so what’s your point exactly?

Yeah so why blame the fans for wanting new faces when things have gone stale with the old one?

Well she's not allowed to tell us what's going on. That's very much Romans way.

So she's NOT Romans mouth piece then.

She's not his mouth piece to us plebs no.

She's his mouthpiece in negotiating. Doing the deals. Etc

This idea that she's doing a bad job irritates me.

It's happening this weekend.

I have already lost faith in the deal and told myself its over. I prepare for a new season with suffering without the ball :sadwalk: Oh god..

Jesus, get a grip will you! So dramatic....

We are not the "laughing stock of European football".

We won't struggle to find a top class Manager unless we stop being able to offer competitive wages and/or compete at the highest level. Worry about that if/when it happens.

You are seemingly letting your impatience & frustration drive you to cook up & conclude all sort of theories in your head, but the reality is you have no idea what strategy/direction might be agreed behind the scenes. None of us do.

I am not saying everything is perfect, but many of the issues you are referencing are complex situations, and some of them we might have to be patient on. Pre-season hasn't even started yet. Most senior players are not even in the country, let alone Cobham.

The club gets a lot wrong, but it also gets a lot right. Our success (that you have no doubt greatly enjoyed) over the last 15 years vouches for that.

Sorry to pick on your post in isolation, but you do come across a bit like a spoiled brat having a tantrum.

If being a spoiled brat means supporting Chelsea through thick and thin, often home and away, for the best part of 60 years, then YES I am that man.

In reality I am a man that runs my own business, successfully, and can see, as could a blind man,  that the lack of strategy or direction (yes I stick by that too) is endemic in everything the Board does.

Yes I have enjoyed the success, I am entitled to after 60 years, but I do not enjoy incompetence and that I regret is what our Board is displaying.

You may be right, but again, we don't know what's going on.

I think that is the problem Valerie, we don't know what is going on , because the Club in its infinite wisdom, do not think we have a right to know

/if shes not doing a bad job, then you clearly believe that she must be doing a good job, which based on the last 12 months is laughable

Me too.

You heard it here first. Roberto Martinez once Belgium win the World Cup hence the delay.....however they do sack the current manager straight after the season ends so if Belgium do not win then Conte stays imo ::ChELSeAFaN::

Interesting that first team training started today in spite of Conte's email...

Also i see there are links to include Jorginho in the deal for Sarri. Now that would be a coup...

“For those wondering/speculating. Conte was at Chelsea's training ground today, but he did not do the players' medical tests etc. Pre-season training, which he has prepared for, starts on Monday. Amazed he is still head coach, but that could change at any moment.” Matt law

#cfc pre-season will get properly under way on Monday. Today was just the standard fitness & cardio tests players go through on first day.Conte plans to take session in two days’ time but club still working on Sarri. One source describes situation as ‘political mess’.”

Chelsea are due to discuss Antonio Conte’s future in the next 48 hours and Conte is expected to be relieved of his duties (Times) #CFC

“The general talk right now is that Conte will be released by Chelsea, and an announcement will occur by midweek.

I believe they want the replacement secured first. Sarri/Jardim the two most likely.” Simon Phillips

I would not be confident if Conte stays. After last season and he's inability to adapt or have a plan B or C, I feel we will regress.

Don’t want to be critical but I think it’s poor from the club to allow Conte to return if they are likely to sack him. Send weird messages to the players and confuses them
