Next Chelsea Manager

  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

There you go @Stim, you know-nothing, f**k-wit!  You obviously don't understand what's involved in being a top, top manager for a world-class team, so just be told, will you?

Thankfully, we HAVE got a poster with such experience,  so we won't be kept in the dark.

Brakeit has left the forum!  No one was as knowledgeable as that guy

You have to know that DeLa has not yet deposited Ancelotti's contract with the Serie A Lega,

so Sarri is formally a Napoli's trainer,

so He cannot sign for another club.

Moreover, DeLaurentis doesn't want Chalsea buy nor his players, nor players from Juventus, to avoid Juventus to buy Ronaldo.

If Sarri goes to Chelsea, Higuain and Rugani go to Chelsea and Juventus can buy Ronaldo.

If Sarri doesn't go Chelsea, Juventus is not able to buy Ronaldo and Napoli has more chances to win serie A.

You have to pay attention to the information about Ancelotti's contract development.

From Napoli's official website yesterday:

Quote

Napoli's 2018/19 season is officially underway. The Azzurri lads assembled this morning at Hotel Vesuvius for a team meeting before setting off for their summmer training camp at Dimaro.

The players' arrival was warmly greeted by crowds of fans, who had awaited their heroes along the gorgeous seafront to shower them with enthusiasm and applause.

The squad then met with Ancelotti and his technical staff. After a first meeting with the new coach, the team divided into groups to undergo the day's scheduled tests.

It's gonna be next Wednesday and the Wednesday after all the way until the end of the season. I know I'm not entitled to the club's successes and trophies but at least fans should be entitled to the goings on at the club. The least they could do is deny rumours

As far as I’m aware football clubs don’t telegraph their intentions. They don’t give prior notification when sacking managers, just as they don’t when they wish to sign players.

In poker parlance that would showing your hand.

In the old days, yes but with social media and leaks and bs journalists, it's pretty much telegraphed anyway. The more sensible way imo is to create some following from fans by way of some form of clarity, doesn't have to be about signing managers or whatever but rather give some form of ambition or at least dispel absolute bs rumours.

Chelsea might not do it but there are other clubs that has ways to generate some good PR. Chelsea barely has any good PR even when we win the league

Funny how Juventus managed to sign Cristiano Ronaldo before we could get our new manager.
Says something about how far we are from the biggest in Europe at the moment.

That logic is not true now that we know Ronaldo has already formally signed for Juventus.

Not allowing Sarri to leave before the new season  will cost Napoli not just  a lot of money (compensation from Chelsea plus usual annual pay to Sarri), but also become subject to a lot of negative press review for clinging on to their former manager while having already signed a new one in Ancelotti.  This is akin to a hostage-like situation. And there can also be legal ramifications - they would not want any of that mess.

I don't think this will carry on for long. [ (!) and we’ve heard that enough times by enough people in this thread (!) ]

They must have been so pissed with our Board’s attitude of refusing to pay the buy-out sum after convincing one of their most successful managers of recent times to break an existing contract, that they really want to drag this thing on and on closer to the start of the season, well aware that we have to give in at some point before the season starts (paying whatever they want).

But now that Ronado has joined Juve, Napoli would be under increasing pressure themselves to raise capital and be decisive about which players they want in and which players they’d allow to leave.  Delay will only shoot up player prices.

Hazard did a interview with BeinSport yesterday i think it was where he said he doesn't know who's going to be the manager yet this season and that going to Real Madrid is "everyones dream".

That just came across as your typical Hazard interview. They say he is hinting at a move to Real Madrid by saying "everybody wants to play for Real Madrid" but i could then say he is hinting at wanting to stay with Chelsea because he said "The blue shirt suits him well, and staying doesn't bother him"

It's basically pick and choose what words to focus on to push the narrative you want to go with.

and he’s always answered like that, in a very nuanced way yet the papers make out it out that he’s desperate to leave...
not worried about eden leaving this summer to be honest, think he’ll stay at least a year more and then hopefully sarri ball and a few decent signings can convince him to resign
