EVeryone seems to be forgetting how useless Conte is in big games.

I’m not on a wind up, I honestly think we will get spanked, we struggle to beat most teams and Barca are on a different level.

Its a European game so I guess anything could happen, but I don’t think this current team has it in them. I’m expecting the worst, anything more is a bonus. Obviously I hope I’m wrong.

These players aren’t stupid and can play different roles within a game. Willian has played wing back and defensively well at Anfield before. We can play 3 4 3 with the ball and Willian can drop back into shape to become 3 5 2, if play is switched to the left side I’m sure Eden can drop in so our shape isn’t compromised!

Should I just bin my ticket and stay at home!

Hello Blue Army ! First Champions League knockout stages in London for me. Do you know where I could watch the game ? I study in South Ken and anything in Chelsea, Fulham, ... would be great. I'm looking for a great Blue atmosphere and chants

Relax, this Chelsea team will give this Barcelona team all the can handle. No need for the dramatics. This matchup is one Barcelona dont enjoy. Football is all about matchups, don't be so naive.

That doesn't get anyone in the mood. Infact, it kinda deflates one. Biggest screw job in the history of sports. That c**t cost us a place in another Champions League Final. I get where your heart is coming from though.

Oh it does because it rekindles the hated we have for Barcelona and UEFA. The Turkish referee tomorrow night could end up being another OVREBO.

As long as it's a fair fight I fancy our chances'. If Barcelona think this is an easy game, think again. Carefree, wherever you may be, we are the famous CFC!!!

Yes but the ref can have an immense bearing on proceedings as we saw in that video. Keep an eye on that ref tomorrow night.

Nothing we can do about the referee. If they have it in for us then we'll have to win the hard way. But let's be honest, it wouldn't be the first time.

We had one extra day of rest than Barcelona so our players should be pressing Barcelona players full 90 mins don't even give them a moments peace thats the way we gonna unsettle them from playing their game and from there on anything can happen in football like today Man City losing to Wigan with playing their first eleven excluding kevin de bruyne who also came on later but couldn't make a difference.

We've always been inferior to Barcelona, since the rivalry began during Mourinho's first stint.

Difference is we had massive characters then whereas we don't anymore.

Edit: Love to be proved wrong, but over two legs, we don't have a chance.

Yes but they will cut through us like a hot knife through butte with Cesc in midfield. If he does play he should play further forward and not in midfield. Trouble is we have Hazard and Willian. I don't want to see either former Barca players on Tuesday night so that includes Pedro too. Fabregas can't defend or tackle and for that reason I wouldn't play him. He will be a passenger.

Barca have their own luxury player in iniesta who cant defend or tackle. I guess they will balance eachother out on that front

That 2009 video was hard to watch.  Being overly objective as possible, the clearest one was Pique’s handball, but Ovrebo  was about 30 meters away and his view was likely partially blocked from seeing the foul - that one should have been flagged by the linesman.  For the drogba/Abidal fouls (2 of them), drogba was too theatric , but that was what he always did.  Again, the linesman should’ve seen the shirt pulling if Ovrebo was blocked from view.  The last one, Ballack’s shot, was all on the cheating ref, who was perfectly placed to see the raised arm.  The first one where the foul continued into the box - I am on the fence about that one and what most refs would have done.  The Anelka one with some contact with the defender was not a foul in my opinion.

Dropping William for this is almost like giving up before we start, he's in ripe form and our fastest player on the counter, and also one of the hardest working in the team.

We must use a striker, no false #9, Hazard has to play obviously, so imo we have to play with three forwards, but Willian can act as midfield/forward.

Pedro could be swapped for a knackered Willian later on.

So if we do play 3-5-2 i think we are giving in and sending a message to Barca that we are running scared.

I dont see it that way. Willian can "act", but thats pretty much it, for him as a CM. Concede at home, and we might have lost the tie. In my opinion, our best chance is to get a clean sheet at home. The barca defence will give us an oppurtunity, specially with hazard in the mix. Moreover, I just get the feeling that hazard will be awesome tonight. Thats just my opinion, though. Barca are unbeaten and one of the best teams in the world. We need to give them the respect due, otherwise we might be found wanting. Moreover, a bad result here can be carried forward to our form for the 2 manchester games, same for a positive result.

Well, i absolutely don't. I can't see us winning today and I'm even afraid it will end up a spanking. Wouldn't be surprised if we lose 0-3 or 0-4.

It's the same ref as in the above game.

I have the strangest feeling that I'm going to struggle to concentrate at work today...

I wonder if Conte is going to have someone man mark Messi tonight. Ideally that someone would be Kante clearly but that we certainly can't afford as Barcelona would run rings around us everywhere else then.
