As much as I'm sure he'll want to keep it tight and pounce against City and Barca, I can't help but think how much bombardment can we take before the floodgates open. A little bit of caution for sure, but at the same time considering the players we have, a little fighting with fire at the right time wouldn't go a miss. We are letting ourselves down at the minute, we are much better than this. Too many class players to be allowing teams to dictate.

Another take on things. With the way the top four is looking right now, I don't think we have any other choice but to give it ago. The chances of us getting a result sitting back and relying on the break with the we are playing right now is slim to say the least. Just flex your muscles and if we lose, we lose.

Frustrating team to watch. I do hope we scrape a win, even if it is ugly as hell. Our team is much too depressing.

Forget top 4. Barring a miracle in the Nou Camp, we need to beat Spurs and/or ManU in the Cup, both of whom will be on course for CL and probably not too bothered about the FA Cup. RM not doing great either, nature of the beast maybe

the league is over... but if we could be the first team to beat them at the emptyhad, not only will it build our confidence before barça, but also it will delay or even save our 95pts record for a bit longer !!! and also we'll still be alive for top 4. But I'd rather see a win as a perfect build up against barça and getting those big ears once again !!!

I think we should save the money on travel and just give them the three points ffs.At least our supporters tomorrow will be getting behind the team.....UP THE CHELS !

No choice but to go for it now. Playing for a point is useless. Let's see if our so called big players can put in a big boy performance. Defensively City can be exposed, only problem is, you need the ball to expose. If Conte thinks he's getting anything out of this game sitting back hoping for a counter attack or two, think again. Ideal game now In away. No expectations. Give it a f**king go. If Silva, De Brueyne and Aguero can flex their muscles, why can't Kante, Hazard and Willian. If we lose 3-1 or 4-2 going for it, no problem. Just go for it.

Give the guy a chance at least. He's played 3 games after being rushed back after spending half of the season out because of an operation on his hamstring. People will be left disappointed if they expect to see the best out of Barkley this season.

A definite must win. We must stay within touching distance of Tottenham before we play them. We shouldn't need to rely on beating the best team in the county, but we only have ourselves to blame for our many poor performances this season.

If we lose our top 4 hopes are hanging by a thread and our confidence is on the floor.

Win and we are back in with a good chance and confidence booms. Do or die boys do or die.

i can not believe i am seeing the words win and chelsea in the same sentence on this thread, it is great to see some positiveness but the reality is, defend or attack tomorrow, this chelsea team is currently not good enough to get anything but soundly beat.

I will actually be surprised if Conte doesn't get anything from tomorrow's game, a whole week's rest and getting his tactics ready, I'm sure we will be calling him a tactical genius tomorrow night.

Agreed. Liverpool showed the way to beat City is to press them & attack. Let's just go for it. Oh & start Zappacosta. If Moses ruins the minimal chances we have down the right it'll be so frustrating.

Obviously playing at City is a different from playing them at home, but the mindset should still be the same. Gotta fight with fire. If Chelsea turn up, this has the ingredients for a classic. The players on show are insane. Sane, Aguero, De Brueyne, D. Silva, Hazard, Kante, Courtois, Azplicueta, Willian. Etc.

I'ts an interesting game, I am leaning towards a City win but because they have played on Sunday and Thursday there cuold be some fatigue. The performance against Barcelona also offers hope.
