What's the game plan, survive and sneak a point? Absolute joke.

the commentator was stating how west ham nicked a goal vs city. i thought to myself "is that what we have come to against a team like city? to nick a goal?" lol

Surprised Souness and Redknapp have praise for Chelsea's resilience .....given that City have only had one shot on goal...interesting take I guess from a professional standpoint, f**king awful from a fans standpoint though

Cheers it’s working now!

I really hate seeing Hazard being wasted up front, I actually felt embarrassed. He’s a huge talent, a starter in any team in the world and only Chelsea can make him completely useless.

Imagine how much more joy he’d have in this City team, or even Liverpool.

Chelsea must be so f*cking boring to play for, I’m sick of parking the bus. I know we’re still in it, but I do not enjoy seeing us being outplayed for the whole match.

Why? The players are just following the coward manager's orders. How else do you explain playing hazard at false 9 when the player himself has said that he is not comfortable.

Stop chanting that stupid "antonio, antonio" chant, that would be my advise.

Boo the manager especially but the players had the same set up against Barca and played brilliantly took the game to them, they look half arsed, if they don't like the plan they give up we saw that with Mou, not going to defend them if they are going to stop playing when they get the huf, if they wont play for the manager play for us....the tactics worked against Barca difference was player effort, conte if far too negative and he must have told them to do this but teh players are far from blame free here

Pathetic, cowardly football, allowing City to do whatever they want. Liverpool showed how to beat this lot - by actually attacking them. But Conte doesn't do attacking football.

It'll be a game of two halves. The half we defended in the first half, and the half they defended in the second.

This formation is embarrassing.

i'm trying to think of reasons for conte setting up like this, and all i can think is he was going to go with a striker up top, but when kante became ill he changed his tactics so that we had an extra hard working player on the field, i.e. pedro. that's a big benefit of the doubt though. turgid stuff so far though and i don't expect changes will be made until 70+ mins or until we concede.

Nope, even if Kante wasn't ill, he still would have gone with the false 9. Even when Kante has been fit, he has played the false 9 formation.

The most annoying thing about that half was how easy it appears to get behind City's defense when we actually have the ball.

Yes I agree, but when we are behind City's defence, there is no point crossing to a 5' 8" striker.

I am usually pessimistic but stay behind the team. But this has been embarrassing. No ambition. The pub has turned over to Barca and I'm not going to suggest turning back. It's one thing to support us when we're playing badly (and I will of course) but am not going to tell them to switch back to watch that crap.

That's how it seems to me, I'm fine with defensive football, as long we play well on the counter and create chances, that's not what this is.

I wouldn't mind :blush2:  It's all we can hope for, judging from that 1st half.

Except for eden, I see every player giving their 100%. I am sorry, but I simply dont know what you are watching. City is probably as good as barca, and this is an away game. We have held them at bay which is great given that they were 3-0 up against arsenal in 30mins. So i simply cant get your "players are not arsed" point. The tactics on the other hand are so negative that we are getting the ball so deep and city's mid pressing is far better and more agile than barca's mid imo.

Again, all on the manager
