Barcelona V Chelsea (CL) Wed 14th Mar 19:45 UK

Arguably the most deflating moment in that half was Alonso just missing that free kick. When was the last time we had a player who so consistently delivered from direct free kicks?

Bakayoko on for Fabregas in order to begin his Chelsea legend with an Essien-esque belter.

It’s boiled down to two errors which have probably cost us the game, shocking at this level, it really is, gifted them this lead on a plate and as usual we can’t take one f**king chance.

Been gifting teams all season to be honest.

If I was watching a re-run of that half with the goals edited out I'd be sure that we must be in the lead. This is far from over, Barcelona's defence is nowhere near impervious, and Tibo owes us some world-class saves to make up for that first goal.

A shocking goalkeeping error & terrible defending?

Other than that, we’ve done pretty well IMO.

Did pretty well the first leg too by that logic.

Unfortunately you're judged by the score

This is why I want Conte to f**king stay here....we handicapped the sh*t out this team with our buys.....season been torrid and yet you can still see the fight and passion in the team. Btw f**k lady luck.....may she choke on a big pipe.

Yeah I know conte hasn't handled it great, but you see a perfomance like this, and it makes you wonder whether we could've fought city all the way this year with better signings.

But on the other hand, why didn't we play like this against city?

Geez, Alexi Lalaa on fox sports saying ‘kicking the ball out of bounds.’  Geez, for someone who played the game , you would think he would know the correct phrase is ‘into touch.’

:JC_doubleup: You were educated well by this forum years ago lol.

Hazard with the stupid  flicks is irritating  me now. They don't come off and we end up losing possession. Also tempted to want to see conte bring Morata on.

He does it alllll the time, it’s infuriating. They come off 1 in every 50.

We have been our own worst enemies. Score should be read as Chelsea 1-3 chelsea individual errors.

Just have an error free 45 minutes, and we will probably end up at a 3-3 aggregate.

Damn, if we concede to that iniesta backheeel, then you just clap for the class, but the way we are losing currently, its just so frustrating. Still not over, get into it Chelsea.

Come on Chelsea.

Fine margins, so far over the two legs we've made three mistakes, all punished and hit the post three times. You make your own luck but maybe it just hasn't been with Us this tie...So far.

i think it's going to be one of those ties again where we say it could have been different. i feel barca are for the taking. yes they are dangerous, but they're also not infallible defensively and can be got at. so, so, so frustrating.

We did do well in the first leg.

Personally think we’ve more than matched them across both legs, but we’ve made howling errors.

Not going to say we deserve to be winning or drawing as whoever scores more deserves it but this could easily be 3-1 chelsea at this stage, that’s football.

I think we’ve done well across both legs & can go out with our heads held high if it stays like this. Other than the mistakes obviously.

I've got 2 problems with the first half so far. first is the constant cheating by the Barca players! Not only are they going to ground so easy, sometimes without any contact, but they are getting away with it! Its soul destroying knowing that if we did it, UEFA would throw the book at us! And secondly, I'm not that impressed by this Barca side. To the point that if they were to meet City, I think City will beat them. Which depresses me a little.

Don't forget how lucky Barca have been, three of the woodwork in 135 minutes....thats some kind of luck, no matter who you are.

The key to the game is gna be Moses, he has plenty of space out wide. We really need to get it out to him more often not sure why we didn't do it more often after the first 20 minz.

Because he does f**k all

Maybe I’m biased but they always get lucky against us. ‘THAT GAME’ is another perfect example.

Christensen was so naïve for that second goal. Why he dived on the floor, I don't know. If he stayed on his feet, he most likely would of got to that ball or at least prevented Messi from going through.

Nah, it's Courtois not coming up with the goods AGAIN. I'm desperate for this guy to prove me wrong, but he never does.

Courtois should play for Real, because he has great skills, as it is obvious. And Fabregas did a mistake that a kid would easily avoid, he is so slow. And Christensen? What the f**k? He could give them a foul at least, but he chose to just spectate. He should sit on the bench. And Morata? We spent a lot, just to have him on the bench. Giroud has better controlling and shooting skills than Morata. Instead of only Giroud, he could bring Morata in as well. And I really missed Costa, Batsuayi and Zouma. With those 3, we would may still have a chance.
