Rudiger pocketed Salah today,Our best signing this summer.

Whether they were tired or not, the way we defended did pretty much nullify Liverpool's attacking threat. I'm sure a lot of sides will look at that for next season / wonder if anyone from Real Madrid will look at that game.

For me, we're just such a frustrating team to watch. A bit more zip in midfield and a couple of lively forwards and we could be contenders.

Looking at the remaining fixtures of the 3 teams going for the CL places our best hope is Leicester beating Spurs, they really owe us one after the battle of the bridge 2 years ago, can't see Newcastle getting anything against them and Brighton wont get anything at Anfield, so that's our best hope. I'm confident we'll win our last 2 games, Newcastle are on a sh*t run and have their flip flops out already, and Huddersfield are fighting for their lives but we should still be too good for them.

wouldn't pin your hopes on Leicester - their last 5 have been LLDLL and they are literally playing for nothing

Baka was OK.  6/10,   Even has a nice tackle in the first half.

He grew into the game, nice ball out to Moses before our goal. The second I thought to myself he was having a decent game he immediately gave the ball away just to keep me grounded.

The only time i heard Liverpool's lot was from their usual shouts for handball

Every game they are shouting for handballs. Dickheads.

You must have been right next to them then, I was block 5 shed lower didn’t hear a peep!

One of his better games but christ, Bakayoko scares me every time he gets the ball.  His first touch is atrocious.

Rudiger and Hazard joint MOTM for me.  Its a pleasure to watch Eden when he plays like he did today, just wish there was another quick, creative attacker he could link up with.

Rudi MOTM all day long. Kept one of the best players in Europe out of the game for 90+ minutes. Hazard went off the boil towards the end, he looked knackered.

That is the best pass Bakayoko has made in a Chelsea shirt, he should be proud of that one!

I hope this season ends this type of football we play, we shouldnt be playing like some mid table trying to defend out some points from a big team.

We played well, so what are you on about?

Tactically we outplayed Liverpool in every way, if we had of played a more open game it could have played into their hands.

Always great to end a match with a sing and dance to One Step Beyond - especially when you're right next to the Scousers to rub it in!  Funnily enough they didn't join in the dancing but started shouting at us!

I’m sure they were just saying ‘congratulations’ ‘you were the better team’ etc. in that funny little language they speak.

Courtois 8 - pulled off some crucial saves.

Alonso 8 - Coped surprisingly well. Was worried about his lack of pace but he did very well.

Cahill 8 -  Continues ld his recent good form.

Azpilicueta 9 - fantastic determination and focus all the way through.

Rudiger 9 - Handled Salah brilliantly well after a slightly nervy opening.

Moses 8 - Worked his socks off, made the goal and caused problems for their left side.

Kante 9 - He lost out on a few challenges but cut out passes and won back possession often. Tried his heart out as always.

Bakayoko 7 - Rare flashes of confidence and ability were on display today. Still managed to confuse everyone in the box. A little bit of promise.

Fabregas 7 - There weren't too many options for him up the pitch today with his passing. Showed good stamina.

Hazard 9 - Stepped it up to an unplayable level after the break. Tired towards the end.

Giroud 8 - Scored an excellent header and gave their defence enough to think about throughout. The link up was off, though.

They were also holding up 5 fingers so I was saying "yes that's how many times we've  won the premier league.  Remind me again how many times you have?"

Would be wonderful if we could end this season on a high but Liverpool's attack sets them apart from us at the mo imo.

Another home disappointment on the cards I feel.

Hey nice to have that negativity proved wrong.

Well done lads you just pulled off a win against the 2018 European champions. Nice to end the season in good form. Let' stretch it to three more wins eh? :)

Agree with you on the ratings. We started a bit slowly but were full value for the points.Love beating the horrible dippers whose scummy behaviour is starting to rub off on Klop.Trying to get Giroud booked for celebrating with Sideshow, classy.Onwards and upwards.....UP THE CHELS !

Even though I still think it’s too late for Top Four (stranger things have happened mind) beating that lot will always feel that good.

Agree - we beat the best team in Europe if not the whole world or so it would seem if you read or listen to the sports media.

What did you think being there today? I was in my seat, Matthew Harding upper. Reading through the thread it was like it was a different game on tv to the one I saw at the game.

I agree. I didn't think we were bad at all. Will be interesting to see it back on motd.

My anus was clenched from the first to final whistle. I think being in that atmosphere helped though, you don’t get that on tv.

Also these threads are always doom and gloom, notice how it’s pretty quiet in here because we won? All the negative nellies have gone off to find something else to cry about.

Courtois 8 Excellent display. If only it was always like this.

Moses 8 Excellent display. If only it was always like this.

Alonso 8 Played like somebody who knows his spot is under threat. If only that volley had gone in. Unbelievable volley.

Cahill 8 I'm not his biggest fan but Christensen's season is over. We look far more solid with Cahill at the back.

Dave 8 I can't bring myself to give him less than all the other defenders.

Rudi 9 The pick of our defenders so I'm giving him an extra point.

Kante 9 Man of the Match. Easily. He's an unbelievable player. POTY. Easily.

Bakayoko 7 Good by his standards but by normal standards nothing special. His performance is being way too overblown by some. Still, at least he's improving.

Giroud 8 I love Giroud. He's a bit sh*t but I still love him. He brings good energy to the team. I mean energy in a spiritual sense, not in an energetic sense. In an energetic sense he brings no energy at all. I hope you follow.

Fabregas 8 Played further forward and played well. We just can't play him in a midfield two. Ever. Again.

Hazard 9 He was brilliant. Really on his game. If he keeps up this form we can win all our remaining games. We have to keep him.

I'm not going to mark the subs. I'm not going to argue with anyone stupid enough to argue with my marks. We're going to play this team against Utd in the Cup Final. Unfortunately that means Willian missing out. We don't have the midfielders to play a midfield two, so we'll play three, as we did today. That makes Bakayoko very lucky. There's nothing he can do that Barkley can't, but Bakayoko's more integrated into the side, as Alonso is, hence presumably why he came straight back. Conte wants players that are attuned to his methods, if possible, which makes Giroud's achievement all the more admirable, given he's new, although his status as first-choice striker is also a reflection on Morata's performances, which haven't been great.

Anyway well done Chelsea, bit tense but it always is. The youth won, the ladies won and now we won. All good. Liverpool lose to Real Madrid, we win the Cup Final and we sneak top four and this turns out to be one of the funniest seasons in ages. Of course the alternative just doesn't bear thinking about.

We won a big game. At last. Happy days.

Well that was a good day. Baby boy born healthy at 4pm, and even managed to see the last 10 mins of us holding on to 3 points.

Miracles do happen.

Hopefully catch the full 90 mins later.

Congratulations on your little miracle.
