Liverpool have looked ok tonight but nothing special. Palace can make it difficult enough. I suppose, last year Liverpool would have dropped points in a game like that but they do look better defensively and that was enough for them tonight.

Salah was pathetic tonight. He was throwing himself to the ground like he had been shot. No criticism at all for him from pundits as usual though. That Palace player shouldn't have been sent off, it wasn't even a deliberate foul, just a clip on Salah's heel, and Salah dived because he overran the ball.

Salah shouldn't be praised for his performance tonight, if it was Neymar, people would be tearing into him.

He’s already on pedestal for much of the media and doesn’t and won’t get criticism for his transgressions the way others will.

That Carragher v Neville debate regarding Emery was hilarious. Have to say though I do lean more towards Gary Neville’s take. This isn’t Emery’s team yet and he’s been in charge of a whopping two league matches. I’m not saying in time he will fix their problems and in all honesty I don’t think he will ever get them challenging for the title. But I do think it’s unfair to judge him after two matches and especially when it comes after one transfer window.

And especially when his first two games are bloody City and Chelsea Away. Damn. I know we also have a new manager but at least we were at home.

Imagine we dropped Conte after the losses against Liverpool and Arsenal.

I feel today whatever media news we get in the last few years it is mostly hyperbole.

JM getting board support after just two games seems crazy too.

He's a psychopath you can see it in his eyes...

He's also a cheater who used steroids in his playing days.

This is why I'll always call him PED Guardiola, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's applying his own playing methods to his own players.

It was Carragher's voice that I was making me laugh. It just seemed to be getting higher and higher. It reminded me of the noise a balloon makes when you gently let the air out

In practically all sports the 'top' players are on something and I'm sure footballs no different!

There is a touch, its just hard to see at that angle.

I see a hand on the back there but that is it - it seems that Salah clipped his own ankles to simulate contact
