I don't think Kepa is great or even good keeper, though don't think he should be hung out to dry for the Bellerin goal.

He could have done much better yet in other matches he has saved us at times with good saves.

I think Kepa is ok until the end of the season although it would be good to replace him I don't see that happening just yet unless of course his nerves go.

I just don't want or expect any replacement to be the level of Nick f**king Pope. 

Reckon we should try and get Fabianski.

 

Let alone Fabianski, honestly, I'd have Ben Foster right now. 

Or maybe bring our director out of retirement.

I agree that he is not playing well for us yet also wonder about our ever changing CBs and whether than affects his game too.

I think a big problem is his concentration issues when he has nothing to do, for all the critisism our defense gets how many times now have teams scored against us with their only serious chance of the game? Even if he improves that's a big problem if we want to start winning league's again.

It looks to me like we will take a loss on him, I genuinely think he has been trying to improve yet only making small steps.

We need a keeper both good with his feet and distribution yet additionally dealing with crosses.

 

The problem is not just Kepa but Kepa is a part of the problem

 

Some reports say Kepa has remainder of the season to prove his worth. I like that approach. If we need to sign someone else we will. We will take a big hit moneywise. I am guessing though we could get 50-60m of him. Still a young lad.

No one is paying more than 30 millions. And we are talking about his value probably right now. Not sure if he could keep it this high by the end of the season. 

Looking at his actual stats why would anyone be interested, they will not pay anything like that figure nor the ridiculous wages he’s on.

7 year contract too. At this rate if we sold him we would have to make 60m+ to break even on the deal for FFP. What a disaster. 

Worst bit is we're stuck with him until June because no one wants to lose their keeper halfway through the year.

Maybe there’s a chance, being a young lad and all, he’ll use all this criticism as motivation to work harder and improve his game?

Luckily for Kepa our reserve keeper is a complete clown. I'm glad he was dropped. It might just buck him up a bit. I'll be even gladder when he's reinstated. Willy should not be keeping goal for a PL club.

Again where were we in the market? Three keepers in France who are having screamers all at small clubs and all gettable. 

I'd still back Willy to start next game. He claimed multiple crosses and saved at least two shots that Kepa has been letting in.

Willy should keep his spot. Yes he made a hash of that goal but he made a number of saves before that, saves you wouldn't expect Kepa to make. It took months of sh*te for Kepa to be dropped, Willy shouldn't be dropped after one game.

He could easily have stopped both goals if he'd stuck an arm out, especially the first goal. He could have just stood up and caught it. I can think of only one save he made that wasn't bread and butter, but the problem is, his aberration for the second, is par for the course with Willy. He just has a brain fart every single game, at least once. We know all this however. Kepa deserved to be dropped and if Willy keeps his place I'd understand. I wouldn't agree with it but I'd understand.

He didn´t cover himself with glory for the second goal but he made a very important save in the first half and overall he was ok. For the time being he should be our number one.
