As per premier leagues official stats he's played 7 through balls in his 3 and a bit seasons here. 7. f**king 7. Mark Pulisic has endorsed more tweets slandering the rest of our attacking options than his Son has played through balls since he signed for the club.

I quite like the Cross Accuracy stat ... 13% for a winger sounds pretty bad to me LOL. Basically 1 out of every 8 crosses is fit for purpose ... 8 assists in 3 years is pretty impressive as well, as is the 19 big chances missed and shooting accuracy of 39%. Any data needs context of course. I think I might have to do a table comparing all our forwards to the best of breed in the PL ... could be interesting !
September 7, 20223 yr This Pully thread is very quiet ! where's the USA T matey , surely he must be over the bloody Moon !
September 7, 20223 yr If he had anything to do with this sacking …I will be fuming Edited September 7, 20223 yr by azpi28

September 7, 20223 yr He has become a sunday league player. Never came back from that injury, wether he lost pace or the ability to step god only knows. Amazed he is still with us TBH.

September 7, 20223 yr In all seriousness my biggest beef is with players who make f**k all effort. I don't think Pulisic is remotely good enough to play at the highest level of football but Ziyech f**ks me off more. A player can't help not being good enough but they can help how much effort they put in. Pulisic works hard despite not being good enough. Ziyech is an embarrassment.

Hopefully the new manager gives him the position he has earned: in the stand with other spectators. For all we know maybe he got sacked for that. That said, I'm a true TT follower since his start at Dortmund, love the guy - but there were indeed a couple of decisions I found weird. Lately: playing Azpi yesterday, giving Pulisic that many minutes.. nothing to sack him for, not at all but he seemed to have lost the plot a bit and I guess Boehly wasn't in the mood to help him out of that (well, he did actually quite literally.). Why he lost it is a good question and I don't expect to get THE answer to it, divorce, sanctions, early CL win with all the added baggage, Covid, Lukaku, goalkeeper slapsticks, new owner without any references regarding football ... maybe a blessing in disguise.
September 7, 20223 yr I eagerly look forward to Tim and the other excessively patriotic smooth brains deciding Potter or Pochettino is the worst manager in the history of the game and should be flogged for never winning a trophy when Pulisic is benched in their first game. Tbh my biggest criticism of Tuchel is for giving Pulisic and Ziyech too many minutes this season. They're not good enough to be squad players here. Trying to force them out was the right move but Tuchel bringing them on every game was incredibly disappointing.
September 7, 20223 yr Pulisic outlasts Tommy T. Who would have thunk it? On to bigger and better - and someone who knows what the hell he is doing offensively!

It was clear when Pulisic signed he would be here for his full contract then leave on a free to the MLS. He's in the Kepa/Drinkwater/Bakayoko category, he's here because no one actually wants him and he isn't good enough to play for any team that could afford his wages. If we could have got an offer for him he'd have been gone long ago. Deadwood often outlasts the managers lumbered with it. Carragher and Henry were actually spot on tonight with their assessments of Pulisic. Edited September 7, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice

Carragher said Pulisic isn't good enough to play for Chelsea and is a squad player at best regardless of who the manager is. I really don't know why Tim is so happy, Pulisic has just had 2 of the best seasons of his career under Tommy T Tuchel actually took Pulisic up a level!
September 7, 20223 yr I dont actually dislike Pulisic that much or care what he does. But he seems to have this weird cult of fans who put his interests above the club interests. Hopefully when he does leave he can take these cult fans with him. I would also wager that he will feature about the same as he did under Tuchel, under whoever the new manager is.

My advice is to use the Ignored Users function. Makes the forum a much more pleasant place 🙂

Tuchel played Pulisic out of position and tore him down mentally. A new manager will be a fresh start for CP. You can go ahead and keep kissing his ass - but, under Tuchel, Chelsea's offense has been a joke - a place where all attackers go to die off. Good riddance to him. Better times ahead!!! Go, Blues!!! Yes!!!!
September 7, 20223 yr I am not so sure this new manager is good for Pusilic or not (since this is a Pulisic thread). However, I do think it's a good move for Chelsea. Tuchel's fotbol has been terrible in recent months. And you want to hire a new coach for his potentials and what he can do in the future, not for what he had done in the past (although that might sometimes be a good indicator of future success, but not always). And from all indications, Potter is the best young and emerging mangers out there. If the ownership group want to build a new future with a new manager, Potter seems to be that guy.

Short of dressing him up as an Eagle and having him pose next to Stamford the Lion on the side of the pitch for games televised in America. Edited September 7, 20223 yr by HazardousChoice
