Christian Pulisic - Official

I honestly think he released his book now because he knows his career is over at this level

It's an end of career move but Pulisic has never had a career as a serious footballer.

He's a commerical hype project and with the world cup in a few months I think that's likely the end of the line for him, if America have a bad world cup he's done.  If America have a good world cup and another player shines he's done.

He was a bottom tier premier league level player before his injuries now he has nothing left to give.

Nailed on to head to the MLS on a free when his contract expires here.

You wouldn't start him ?

PAGE 42 of this thread.

The guy was being idolized by everyone.  ( I reckon Hazardous Choice is in thecomments with praise under an old name !) None of us thought he was useless because quiet simply he wasnt.

I never like seeing a current player being incessantly mugged off by our support.

Isn't there anything positive we can talk about instead ? Like how good Mendy is ?😂😂

Why does valid criticism always get turned into "hate"?

Yes there's ofcourse going to be a minority of people usually on twitter that take things too far but the very vast majority of posts about Pulisic are rightly criticising him for being absolute sh*t for the past two years.

There seems to be this obsession in football of mollycoddling people who are getting criticised for being sh*t at their job (Steve Bruce another example). If I was as poor at mine as Pulisic has been at his I'd be fired and have next to no chance of finding another due to lack of references.

Funny you mention page 41/42 because if you delve a little further he was criticised in a similar way to what he is now for one of his what's turned into signature anonymous sh*t shows against United in the cup.

I bet Mendy keeps a clean sheet every training session.

I've never looked at earlier pages of this thread before until today, interesting to see so much skepticism of the signing on page 1.

Usually when  a new player is signed there's a wave of optimism because by nature most people are optimistic about the things they enjoy.

But this transfer didn't look right from the start.

As someone who had watched a lot of Dortmund in the 2 years prior to us signing him I honestly thought the fee was a mistranslation and we'd signed him for £5.8m to join the loan army.

I actually can't recall a single other situation where a player who has been embarrassingly sh*t for pretty much his entire career for such a long period has had so many vocal supporters or defenders.

Yeah there was a lot of scepticism .

until page 42 !

But yeah I was surprised that fans had a lot of doubts from the very start

I was very select in my investigation.

I realised that other pages would have destroyed my argument !

Oh btw, yeah shouldn't have used " hate" to describe it, wrong word to use about our fans. Apologies mate

Generally, it's not hate, but the opinion he is useless.

Exactly. What I see on here is a mixture of constructive criticism and piss taking no hate at all.

Hate is a strong word. Although with the generation of type it and forget about the consequence, people do say stuff they wouldn’t say to their face.

My closest feeling to this was Winston Bogarde, but only because his five year contract was more important than leaving for less money to go elsewhere. To compound this he left the country to fly to training and go home again!

My View is just messing with the people across the pond who are blinkered about his performance and form. I don’t hate the guy.

Give it another few weeks and @USATimwill be begging for Tuchel back

Didn't see the game today - cleaning up after the hurricane. Who had the winning assist?

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The fact everyone knew this was coming after the goal is what made it so hilarious.

Everybody wins today - Chelsea fans get to celebrate a great win and a sensational goal by Connor.

And you get another season of lauding Pulisic for his creativity for his assist today.

Let's party like it's 1999 Tim.

Nice dribble for the assist today.  Wonder strike wouldn't have happened today without Pulisics moment.

I agree. Didn't do too much, due to only being on for 10 minutes, but whenever he touched the ball he looked positive. I also like that Potter plays him on the left, where he's always looked a lot better than on the right. I'm not a fan of his attitude under Tuchel, but maybe just maybe Potter can get something out of him, that we haven't seen from him in a while. I'd start him against Milan.
