Who’s next after Sarri?

To be fair, the OP mentioned it was a tongue in cheek title, after the match day thread, where I believe there were comments of Sarri should be sacked.

Tongue in cheek or not, it's embarrassing.

There is already a Sarri thread, so I don't really see why the OP would go to the effort to set up a new thread (with an embarrassing title) unless the title reflected what he/she wanted to be discussed.

And discussing "who is next after Sarri" because we have lost a game is pathetic.

Don't know why, maybe you should direct that question to the correct person

Kante is played ‘’out of position’’ because Sarri defends in a different way to most managers. He wants to defend from the front via pressing and he sees Kante doing this in the opposition’s half. Having him sit on the half way line waiting for the opponent is going against his style of play. He doesn’t want the opponent to get that far with the ball!

If it works then great. But when it doesn't work and keeps failing to work, why persist with it? To be honest, it's Hazard being played out of position that is really effecting us.

But then all this talk about Higuain is proof that we aren't planning on sticking with it, its just the best we got right now

But's it's NOT the best we've got right now - that's exactly the point.

Hazard is by far and away our best player WHEN PLAYED IN THE RIGHT POSITION. Why weaken the team by playing our biggest threat where he is no longer much of a threat? We would be better off playing Giroud, Pedro, Barkley......ANYONE as the false 9 rather than waste Hazard there.

Better still get our #9 from the championship, then we can play with a true #9 poaching goal machine.

Even when we've played with a ST and Hazard has played out wide, he's hardly been on blistering form. Early in the season he was doing great, but tapered off a couple months ago. He played as LW vs Southampton and Palace, but didn't do a whole lot. At the end of last year he played out wide for 6 games and never scored, assisted a couple times. He's been nearly as effective as false 9 tbh. Since the 2-0 win at City, he has played as false 9 and assisted 4 times and scored 3 times. In between those appearances as false 9, he played twice out wide (as I mentioned) and did nothing.

Lets just sell him. f**k it, we'll be lucky to get £25M reading your description!

Not sure what downer you have on Hazard but he is regarded by many as the best player in the PL bar-none. Sure, like all players, especially those who have so much heaped on their shoulders due to lack of creativity in the rest of the side, he does struggle to reproduce it every week, but he is still our main threat when played in his correct position (NOT false 9) and remains the most fouled player in the PL. When you have a player of Hazard's ability and he can score brilliant individual goals like he did against Arsenal and Liverpool (twice), you don't then play him where that can't happen.

:laugh2: I don't have a downer on him. It just frustrates me how for all his ability, he is 28 years old and never reached the heights he's capable of. Maybe if he had been with a better team he would have been as incredible as people seem to think, but personally I just don't think he has it in him to be one of the very elite goal scorers in Europe. People talk about our past teams like they were sh*t, but Hazard has had some very good players around him but still only ever reached 16 goals max. When you see Salah come in first full season in England and absolutely smash it like he did, it makes you wonder whether Hazard has the same hungry mentality for goals that others do.

First player in the league to score and assist double figures.

Hazard’s had one of his best seasons at Chelsea up to the New Year. It’s only in the last few games he’s looked lost and because results are going against us he’s getting frustrated, going looking for the ball by dropping deep or drifting out left (where he wants to play) and then it’s detrimental to the team because we then have no focal point to our attacks.

He wants to play out wide, he’s said this publicly. Why you wouldn’t play your best player in their best and favourite position is lost on me.

Sarri had success playing Mertens through the middle at Napoli and he’s trying to pull the same trick twice with Hazard but it’s not working. Hazard doesn’t care about scoring goals so why burden him with that responsibility?

Sarri’s persistence with the false 9 has been one of my biggest frustrations.

I rate Hazard more than you do but I'll admit I've always been disappointed in his lack of goals. For all his ability I thought he could've been much much better infront of goal.

What Salah did last season is what I was expected from Hazard after his first season here.

I don't think anyone was expecting Chelsea to win the league or even a title challenge, you are diverting away from the issues most posters are discussing. The football hasn't been great, the line up is predictable, the way Chelsea play is predictable, the exact same subs every game, playing the same under performing players. These are points posters have every right to discuss because it's been going on for months now, it doesn't mean all fans want Sarri sacked, but this is my opinion only that Sarri is making very basic management mistakes atm or he is just stubborn.

Your absolutely entitled to your opinion and make valid points re predictability and under performing players. I do think however he’s entierly governed by the players at his disposal, and has the advantage over me, you, and every other armchair critic in that he sees players train every day and you’d like to think has has a good handle on every players respective ability.

Just think we ought to give the geyser a break. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Like all good wingers Hazard goes through spells where he is less effective. Even Pat Nevin was ineffective at times.

How dare you, wee pats innefective games where due to him deciding to give other Chelsea players a chance to shine.....

I cant believe i have to say this again, if you haven't seen my previous post on match day threads then please don't assume anything about me.

Anyone who recognise my post will know since Sarri joined i have been one of this main advocates, i always enter natch day threads with " Waiting for meltdown" or " comments about "some Chelsea fans being impatient" or " some feeling they have a right to win and be successful and apart of the want it now generation.

So again this was a tongue in cheek thread, because i know you genuinely have some who want him sacked now.....

If I popped round my estranged wife’s house, and found her in the sack with Wee Pat, I’d probably nip downstairs and make him a nice cuppa

No biscuits? You cold hearted bastard!

I think the question is when and not if we should be buying Callum Wilson. Should we buy him now whilst the price is reasonable or wait for us to lose in the next fixture and panic buy him at an even higher price.

For someone who supposedly is injured and rubbish etc as many on this forum keep wrongly pointing out, he has outscored any of our forwards by miles, as well as possesses far, far more talent. Let's get it done Chelsea.

If that doesn't sort it out then Sarri really has to go because we need to get the players motivated prior to exiting any of the trophies.

At least your consistent.

I hope Spurs buy Wilson so you can f**k off over to the fighting c**ts and bother them.

Some on here have implied that I actually am a Spurs fan. Whilst not quite as insulting as being an Arsenal supporter, I suspect I have supported Chelsea far longer than many of the glory hunters on here.
