Offering to lead the line?

Who knows... In contrast to earlier piss ups, it might be a good thing that our non-ST holders can't get a ticket anymore 🤔

Agree. Although our new pay masters Ares Capital Management have a minority stake (~34%) in Atletico Madrid, so maybe they can see fit to inflate another one of their assets.

Are you serious? Why do these lot have hands in weird pies

BREAKING: BlueCo sack Stewart and Winstanley.

Eghbali said it is "unforgivable" and "staggering" that he had not been informed that Garnacho had failed to pass a scouting report for the role of Chelsea forward. The Chelsea director said he was "absolutely furious" that the sporting directors had overruled the recommendation from specialists in the Chelsea scouting team.

Even when they sack Liam, who the f**k cares? Look at the state of this squad. This is what they are. Mid-table players at best. We are in the mud for decades to come.

If the day ever comes when these pieces of sh*t sell up, I want every piece of stink they have left behind removed. Every board member, coach, player, anybody they have bought in, I want out. I don't want to be reminded of a single thing these bastards have done to this club. Ban anybody in the media that ever went along with their PR spin too.

We've now got 3 less points after 34 games than we had in the Pochettino season when we had significant injuries all season, and we're 12 down on last season

Surely the idiots running the club need to listen to the cries for experience now. And sack these frauds of sporting directors ...

That would have been very painful for Eghbali and his SDs to watch, and listen. The project isnt working. We are setting goalless losing records going back to 1912. We have all but slipped out of the European places. Even a flirtation with the Conference league would be something. The financial restrictions are gonna hurt too. The coach isnt making the grade and we might have to act sooner rather than later.

Sleep well Mr Eghbali.😐

In the midst of these fitness issues, mostly due to the poor pre-season we had, they’re busy organising an exhaustive pre-season this time round again, already sorted Hong Kong. So when players return knackered and on their last legs from the World Cup, they’ll be whisked away soon after for more games. In an ideal world where money was no issue, they’d be given an extended rest, and all the pre-season friendlies would be domestic this time around.

Seems like we are a turning point now.

BlueCo have two options:

1- Give up the project entirely and start from scratch. Sack all five SDs and replace them with one established name that has a proven track record. Give that person the key to all footballing decisions and rebuild the squad with any of the half decent players who'd want to stay

2- Double down on the project. This includes making minor tweaks to the main approach

Option 1 could see us stabilize in mid table with an outside chance of getting CL in the coming seasons.

Option 2 would get us relegated within the next 2 seasons.

Option 3 cut your losses and sell the club.

The club is broken. While form is temporary, structurally Chelsea are near rock bottom. Every single department is either massively underperforming and/or not good enough.

Then there are the finances. Not sure how anyone would recover from this. Sad to see.

Something in the region on 1.5 billion invested and if you draw the line and come to an honest conclusion we are left with not a single decent GK, one top right back that was already a Chelsea player way before BlueCo took over, two very good left backs in Cucurella and Hato, two top midfielders in Caicedo and Palmer and a top center forward in Joao Pedro. And Estevao who is more of a top player in the market.

That's it.

No goalkeeper, no center backs apart from Colwill who is coming after an injury that most of the times ruins an athlete's career, not a single decent partner for Caicedo, not one decent winger. It is a squad bloated with bang average players.

We will find a about our fate as a club in a couple of months. If these SD clown are still at the club, we truly are in big trouble.

The first comment on this article is bang on the money :

I don’t quite understand how you can invest billions and then recruit a bunch of rank amateurs to run it all.

I don’t accept that Rosenior has to stand and take the blame for what clearly is not his fault. He was not the right choice but where are all those big men hiding? The incompetents who have destroyed a football club because they know better?

The club is losing revenue by the minute and will soon be selling its talent to pay the bills. BlueCo have no way to save this catastrophe. They can’t pump in money and they can’t raise income, so they can’t raise playing potential or recruit the best talent.

It’s quite staggering just how utterly stupid and obdurate has been this farce. How can Eghbali with zero experience run a football club? what exactly do the sporting directors actually DO? How come the marketing department are incapable of finding a shirt sponsor?

Abramovich ran the whole show with a handful of people who knew what they were doing and got fired if they didn’t.

This is an exemplary study in incompetence and ego four years in the making. The presumption and arrogance of these people is astounding.

But Todd said we were supposed to learn from the Americans, how has this happened?

Boehly and his group did at least put their own money in. Eghbali and Feliciano have just been wasting their investors money.

Clearlake have obviously been calling all the shots for some time as the majority shareholder. Hence Eghbali in particular gets way more blame than Todd for me.

I think if the end-of-season meeting with Pochettino had gone differently then we might have been established Top 3 or 4 by now. Boehly took Poch out for dinner, and then the next day we had Eghbali and his pair of minions turning up to the Poch review with dossiers full of petty nonsense to justify parting company since it was clear that Poch wanted more input and some experienced players, and they weren't prepared to modify their strategy to accommodate that.

Going to be an interesting summer to see how all this plays out.

I'll be in the garden, playing golf or at the beach, casually watching the developments with mild detachment and amusement :-)

Play golf on the beach. Work on your bunker play.
