Basically he was on £100K a week AFTER TAX ... 12 years ago in 2010 !!!!

Best thing we can all do is cancel your Sky contracts (if you haven't done so already) as all the football wage madness is as a direct result of ridiculous sums paid by the likes of Sky  for TV rights ... albeit those in charge of the clubs have unbelievably done a "world class" job in channelling pretty much all of it (and more) to the players and their agents ...

Yeah, has to add in some sales as well. Of we are serious about De ligt, he alone will cost upwards of 80M.

That side looks good enough to come straight back up from the EFL in 23/24. Well, maybe with the exception of Silva as he’ll have a telegram from the Queen by then.

Quite so ... we're not exactly short of left backs at the club and the fact that the sum total of his first team CFC experience is 37 minutes as a sub in the 7-1 League Cup win over Grimsby in 2019/20 pretty much says where he's at in the hierarchy ... good luck to him all the same !

Most likely Emerson will stay and Alonso will go to Barcelona, but if we are lucky we'll shift all the left backs except Chilwell this window, and sign one decent replacement !

I was referring to first pre-season game on 16th July but yes. Pre-season training barely a week away and it would be optimal to have the key signings in place by then so that they have a chance to get to know the team and system.

He may have had limited first team opportunities but same could be said about Livramento and Lamptey. Maatsen just finished a very successful season on loan with Coventry, where he was highly regarded by the fans. I was hoping he might have a chance to stake a claim here as LWB backup.
