March 10, 20197 yr Sarri got his tactics wrong again, he changed too late in my opinion. I have lost confidence in Sarri's tactical ability, we are losing / drawing too many games because of his stubbornness, Players are clearly not responding to his tactical set-up and the result is a slow, boring football, with no movement without the ball, no proper shape and extreme fragility in defence. it is the worst football i have seen from Chelsea in the last 10 years, I feel like we are losing our identity under Sarri, we become a fragile team, with no fight in us. Hazard was joking and laughing with one the Wolves players after the game. I don't think in the years of Lamps. JT, Drogba, etc we would have seen something like this afer such a pathetic performance/ We have no leaders and no heart for Chelsea in this group of players, just a bunch of mercenaries picking up fat cheques regardless whether they perform or not. Imagine you are sh*t in your job, but you don't care what your boss or company says and no matter how badly you perform you still get paid and they run after you to extend your employment contract, That is football in general and Chelsea FC in particular today.

My “you” not directed at you but those on this thread moaning at every turn (even when Sarri gives them what they wants as he did today with every susbtitution), failing to appreciate the qualities of the opposition, etc.. make sense?

This is one of the things that frustrates me the most about us. Everyone knows when smaller teams play the bigger clubs their mindset is to survive the first 30 minutes to have any chance of a result. You don’t even have to survive against us as we just spend that time feeling our way into the match.

You are obviously having problems understanding today, so I will copy and paste. Give it some thought, consider whether either Mourinho or Conte would defend with a high press on the half-way line, from a valid opinion, then come back with an answer to the questions. "Fair point. But, the Wolves goal you have described as "a fluke". Do you think the ultra high press we had on the half-way line contributed, in any way, to that goal? Do you think Mourinho and Conte would defend like that?"

March 10, 20197 yr Same old crap. Slow, predictable, utterly toothless upfront. I don't care if this Sarri's Chelsea have 99% possession, they'd still struggle to create any chances, let alone score. Sarri is stubborn to the point of madness and must be the slowest learner in the history of the game. I'd say I was disappointed about the performance, but that happened far too often this season, so it was a painfully familiar sight.

Totally agree. Gary neville says Luiz is a playstation player . I beleive Sarri is a playstation coach. His tactical naivety and stubbornness knows no bounds. March 10, 20197 yr On my way back from the game. We should have started the game with the players that finished it. We really only started playing when we were one down. Bit like the crowd really, only singing when we were one down. Mind you there was nothing to sing about in the first half. Great goal from Eden. Made me laugh as a lot of people left with 10 min to go. We need to support the team to the end On to the next

March 10, 20197 yr Some quick thoughts after gathering myself after utter disappointment. Jorginho was terrible today. I know, has been previously as well and I also not a new thought here either, BUT he was really bad. Dispossessed, bad passes, slow to track back, you name it. He really needs to sit awhile. We are much better with a 4-2-3-1, leaving Kante and Kovacic/RLC/Barkley behind Willian-Hazard-Pedro/Odoi and Higuain/Giroud up top. I have seen enough of Jorginho. Sell him for a bag of balls for all of me. As many have pointed out, finishing line up MUCH better than starting XI. Thought Emerson was poor today and looked out of sorts. Anyone other than Willian taking corners for us is poor. Just wasted chances when he is not in the game. Same holds true on free kicks, except Alonso, who I thought could have helped going forward to day. Though I am not going to blame Kepa for the fluke goal off of Dave, but he has not overly impressed this season. I honestly think Willy is better. Higuain’s hold up play and maintaining possession is much better than Morata, but he is as slow as Cesc and became statue-esque the final 10-15 minutes. Still in this Top Four race somehow I suppose. Need to get on a run. Going to have to beat United at Old Trafford next month to truly be in the mix. I will leave a couple of positives. Rudiger has been a real solid player and I believe he fights all 90 minutes for the shirt. Hazard’s goal was top class. Europa League could provide a path to CL, but PL may be better to find a way in the Top Four. Come on you Chelsea!!
March 10, 20197 yr We need to improve our tactical fouling. Luiz, Kante, Jorginho or Rüdiger should have fouled Jota on the attempted break away. City do it all the time and it works. So naive from Chelsea. Wolves are a good side. They’ve beaten Liverpool and Spurs. Drawn against Arsenal, City and United. Disappointing not to win but I’m not furious with the result. We have to beat Everton otherwise top 4 is over.
