Played some really good stuff that half. Really like this lineup.

Overall,

i don’t know what to make of that half. Were we that good or were dynamo that bad?  As they seem to be pretty shambolic at defending.

Alonso goal and assist

Aside from the goal and assist, how is Alonso playing?

Probably answering my own question there...

Sarri mentioned in the pre-game presser that he wanted to send a message to his team this was an important game...... I think he needs to now send a message to the team by rewarding the players doing so well with another start in the next game.

Both legs have looked like training matches. Can't really judge anyone 

We're moving the ball quickly, despite what seems like a slow pitch.  Willian, RLC, CHO, Kante, Giroud look really lively.  

Best controlled half of football we have played in months, complete dominance all over and clinical with our chances.

I think it helps that this team is so much more balanced. Midfield is full of movement, strong, quick feet, wingers are quick and getting at the defense without hesitation, and Giroud has played the perfect strikers role today. I think the defense has been excellent when called on too, multiple times they have played that offside trap perfectly.

Very happy with that, and I think we need to get Loftus-Cheek in the regular 11. The way he shrugs people off and drives forward is a massive bonus, it keeps our attacks flowing.

True; will consider taking off RLC early & start him V Everton.

sidenote: Dynamo were never going to overturn the 3-0 deficit, puzzled why he didn’t throw in some kids into the mix. 

I womder if Sarri can try a similar line-up in the league. RLC providing that much needed physicality in midfield. Olivier much more lively in front of goal than Higuain. CHO showing he is the future..

Come on Sarri, 8 games left in the league, try something new !!

He's doing great... but he doesn't have much defending to do.. won a couple headers. DK is looking for early balls to the 9.

 

Great half of football. Very professional and clinical. 

Kiev look worse than the teams we played in the group stages. 

RLC gives us another dimension. Hopefully he comes off and we play him on Sunday.

Alonso having his best game in absolutely ages. I know its only Kiev, but he is doing the simple things, and making an impact in the opposition box. Still not sure I'd trust him with any actual defending though. 

Have to agree that RLC is looking incredible tonight. But it’s only Kiev... They looked dreadful in both legs.

If he can do this performance against premier league teams then he certainly should be one of the first names on team sheet.

D Kiev aren’t really attacking but I think that is down to us winning back the ball quickly and not wasting possession 

Glad we show up and play UEL like the UCL atm. Great football from us ! Plus, Kiev finished above rennes in the group stages ! They aint no joke since rennes are the team that will knock arsenal out of the UEL tonight !

Alonso’s touch and passing has been great tonight. Fantastic assist for Girouds second. RLC strong but could use another yard of pace.

Poor defending from us there, but even worse finishing from Dynamo Kiev.

I wouldn't mind Arsenal getting knocked out, but I also wouldn't mind if they advance.  They have the easiest run in in the PL of the teams chasing top 4, so more games on the schedule for them could work in our favor.

I would rather have an easier run in the Europa League though, it gives us a better chance to actually win it.

If we drew them, it would at least take the travel out of the equation.  But they are one of the top 3-4 sides left in the completition.
