I don't think we should be happy to see him leave, i think we'll be a better team for it though. His best asset is his long range passing which is pretty useless in the prem with how little time he gets on the ball, at Madrid he'd have the freedom to sit deeper and spray the passes without a press being on you instantly. That means he has to play the 10 and i'd much rather have a more dynamic 10 than someone that looks like they're running through custard.I don't see how having an opinion on someones skillset is slagging someone off. Slagging off would be what you read on the Jackson thread that seems to somehow gets laughs.I think I'm not as sensitive to the term slagging off. I mean it like being overly/needlessly critical. I think Enzo is a lot better than you do. That's fine. The Jackson stuff is bigger than that. And I think that's complete nonsense and don't even get involved.I think there's a lot of people here who forget how young some of these players are. Jackson is a better player than some of these guys that have moved this summer for 60m+
August 10, 2025Aug 10 Well he better hit the gym some more because there is only going to be more silverware to lift as Chelsea Captain.
August 11, 2025Aug 11 Hope he has the same recovery setup Thiago has. He elevates the team so much when he's on
August 25, 2025Aug 25 I thought it was dreadful defending at first, but na, this pass is the equivalent of a sniper taking out two people to the head with one round. James can most definitely play midfield. Dare I say it, his passing could complement Caiciedo perfectly? tame finish sadly.

Passes crosses free kicks are top notch.
August 25, 2025Aug 25 Best RB in the world whenever he’s on the pitch, second is a long way off him too.

August 26, 2025Aug 26 As much as I love that pass I am also reminded that this sort of play was something Frank Lampard used to pull off at least once a game in his prime. Lampard himself was often unfairly criticized for being "workmanlike" and even back then people bemoaned football becoming robotic and athletic, but it has fallen further still. The two last exponents of that sort of playmaking (de Bruyne and Modric) are semi-retired in Serie A. If a kid in an academy or a player in a "Pep-inspired" team tries that pass and fails, they'll be hooked next game. Long may Reece continue to ignore the noise.
August 30, 2025Aug 30 Slightly concerned he isnt starting so far, early doors in the season and there are a ton of games. Hope Maresca decides to be more inclusive of our born winner captain and perhaps he's still cautious about his fitness given the CWC.

He is a world class player and should be keeping Madrid's Terrance Trent Derby out of the team. Forgive my blue specs and wanting him to play every minute for us given how long he's been injured. We are a better side with him in, Maresca can do one if he thinks we're not, I consider watching him play a treat in our colours. there's also something very satisfying watching him have the armband over Enzo Jnr.
September 2, 2025Sep 2 With Chilwell's exit confirmed, Reece James is now officially the last man standing from our 2021 Champions League winning team/squad, and long may it continue. Reece is the heart beat of the club.
September 21, 2025Sep 21 Ran his legs off yesterday and reminded us of the impact he can have on games when he's given the opportunity!
September 21, 2025Sep 21 Tremendous effort from him yesterday, full of energy and commitment. Top player
