Reece James

He’s the best in the world in his position and it’s not even close.

Starting to feel though that he’s the only ‘connection’ us fans have to the team now, JT/Lamps are long gone RLC/CHO/Mount never really quite worked out.

It’s all on RJ to keep that thread alive, if Josh becomes what he looks like he should and Levi returns to his pre-injury level on return though we’ve got an absolute core once more.

Certain individuals on here were saying names like Hakimi...

RJ has been the best RB in world football since 2019 and will be until he retires.

Just @ me you vagine.

No one ever refuted James is arguably the best right back on the planet when he's actually fit.

The argument stemmed from you rejecting what is honestly an objective fact that Hakimi has been among the best right backs on the planet for quite some time.

I shall not name names.

So long as those posters are aware.

Every single full back I ever played alongside would have snapped ligaments even attempting something like that.

Probably worth pointing out to any newcomers that this was back in the days when the half-time snack was a fag and a dripping sandwich

I remember one match our coach gave us one of them new fangled orange things from some foreign land, gave me a rash.

When fit Reece James is genuinely world class and I wouldn’t swap him for any right back in the world. He’s also much more than a RB or a RWB.

Caicedo is also undoubtedly world class.

Palmer and Estevao have everything needed to be world class too.

“World class” is a much overused term of course but I’m pretty confident all 4 will be seen as being in the top 3 or 4 players in their positions in the world over the next two years.

For that to happen though we will need to be involved in the business end of the Champions League and the Premier League. That’s not likely this season but next season we have to be up there.

Very solid performance last night. He was all over the pitch and involved in a number of attacks too. So great to have the ability to play him as CDM or Right back. CB is an option too.

Stay fit!

Immense performance from him today. I thought he was on the way out with his injuries a year or 2 ago. To be able to play at such a high level in midfield/right back and also do a job a left full/centre half when required is incredible.
