With the midfield crises and who they have at disposal, its mind boggling he didn't switch to three at the back to deal with it + utilize TAA and Robertson's strengths further up the pitch. I can only think It must be written in blood that Liverpool must have a back four.

Sometimes it's just too obvious, Colwill is another one, will be a disaster if we lose him.

Colwill cannot play every game, Badiashile will still get plenty of minutes. Colwill is also able to play LB/LWB and likely the center of the back 3 as well. We can offset our FFP by moving on one or two academy players, and one should not be Colwill. Mount is going. Everyone knows that by now. How much we get for him depends who else is sold. Probably CHO as he only has one year left on his deal.

Exactly the same, that generation of our youth from 2014-2018 was just unreal, we were winning the youth league and FA cups almost every year and in the UEFA youth champions league we won 2, runners up twice and the one year we didnt feature was 16-17 when our main squad wasnt in the CL so by default the youth team didnt make it either. Colwill is one of the very few to break through in the last 2-3 years thats destined for a high level, he looks class and im really happy hes doing his loan spell at brighton under a great manager who is giving him a lot of minutes. Cannot wait to see him come back, just really hoping he stays injury free as that is always the main worry at this sort of age

March 25, 20233 yr Ongoing fitness issues apparently if Southgate wasn’t going to play him he might as well come back tbh if I was chillwell I would come back too
March 25, 20233 yr Both potential fullbacks for us this season and into next have hamstring issues. Not ideal is it ffs.
March 25, 20233 yr 6 weeks of Reece then 6 weeks of Gusto rotating through injuries and play time will be fun next season
March 25, 20233 yr That tear against Watford last season has probably built up loads of scar tissue. Needs a good summer off for rehab.
March 25, 20233 yr Although he's the best RB in the world and we had to keep him £250k a week looks a lot for a player that is likely to miss 1/2 of every season
March 25, 20233 yr So frustrating that arguably our best players can't stay fit. Kante, James, Chilwell, Fofana.
March 25, 20233 yr As much as I want to blame Southgate, this is really an issue Reece has. It's a bloody shame aswell. We saw what injuries did to the likes of RLC and CHO, I'm hoping Reece is made of the same stuff Arjen Robben was, he never let injuries determine his career in the end. But most times it does. It's not good for a young prospect to be constantly getting injured like this. Does seem to happen to a lot of our youngsters though doesn't it?
