March 3, 20233 yr We should just leave him out for the rest of the season. Nothing to play for just get him properly fit so he stops getting injured.

March 4, 20233 yr Does seem to be made of glass since he suffered the first injury last season. Hopefully it's something that can be dealt with and fixed otherwise he'll be another generational talent hindered by recurring injuries.
March 4, 20233 yr As much as we want him to be the captain once Silva goes, I can only see his injuries getting worse as he gets older therefore making him better off as a deputy rather than the main man. f**k knows who can fill that void though, the arm band situation here is looking like a coin toss it’s that bad.
March 4, 20233 yr I am not 100% sure his personality is captain personality. He loses his head a lot...seems like half of the games he does some sh*thousery -stuff..

March 4, 20233 yr I wonder if James keeps getting injured because he's carrying too much weight ? He's a pretty bulky guy ... must be hard on the muscles, joints and tendons to charge up and down the right flank all game. Maybe next season with Malo Gusto coming in (and hopefully available to play and not similarly injured) we will see James transition to a new and less physically demanding role ? Maybe DM or RCB in a back three ? Edited March 4, 20233 yr by Sexyfootball

He is still young and the frustration does show. He'll mature, and have less concerns on that front than his general injury record and availability. Quality back up next season will hopefully give him a year of better game management. Definitely needs to work on his availability though.
March 4, 20233 yr this is the problem with 7 years contract if he gets injurys much often we will stick with him for years

I am not saying a captain needs to be clean as a whistle but what Reece does in terms of football he doesn't need to do all that extra dark art stuff if you will. He is so naturally talented player. Wisey sort of had to add that to his game. I would love Reece to be the captain don't get me wrong but I am not 100% convinced he is that person. Time will tell. He is still young.
March 5, 20233 yr He is not even 23 yet if I am not working .. still growing into his body. Injuries are worrying but that’s what happens to young players I think he is a superb athlete and will shrug these off next season after a good rest.

March 16, 20233 yr Klopp really is stubborn with his tactics. With the midfield crises and who they have at disposal, its mind boggling he didn't switch to three at the back to deal with it + utilize TAA and Robertson's strengths further up the pitch.
