I wonder if Ronaldo has any influence on who gets the job in Turin ? If so who would he pick ?

I could see him being happy with Jose taking over but I doubt that he has any influence over that matter, when it comes to getting players he probably has much more influence.

What about this Eric Ten Hag fellow from Ajax? He'll lose all his key players in the summer and I'm sure Chelsea job could be tempting for someone like him. If Sarri is in fact leaving, wouldn't it be logical to try and pry him away? His footballing style is similar to Sarri's and it would make sense to continue building the team with the same tactical approach instead of dismissing the progress we've made and starting from scratch with a totally different vision.

Plus, I genuinely don't think Lamps is ready yet.

Ten Hag makes the most sense from a footballing perspective. Ajax denied Roma's approach for him a couple of days ago apparently, but maybe the Chelsea job would be too tempting for him. Sarri has already laid the groundwork for how he likes his teams to play, he managed to find a good blend of youth and experience at Ajax this year, so i think he would find our options appealing, even without hazard and a transfer ban.

Im not sure the fan base would be keen though, since there seem to be a large portion that prefer a more pragmatic and counter attacking style of football, but i guess ypu cant please everyone unless your winning league titles every year.

Jardim from Monaco would also be an intersting alternative, he is adaptable, and while i dont think he would necessarily continue sarri's work, he has won titles, and he has brought through a lot of youth players. He had an awful season last year, sacked and rehired by Monaco, but i wouldnt hold it against him, his sude has been dismantled a couple of times, and it takes its toll, as Klopp found out in his last season at Dortmund.

On that is a bit left field is Bruno Lage from Benfica, took over in January and clawed back the title from Porto, scoring goals for fun. Only problem is his lack of experience, much like Lampard or Holland.

The guys before me were ahead of me but...

If we want to continue implement what Sarri did, let’s go for Ajax’s manager. Huge gamble, but it excites me more than the shortlist we have seen these days.

And from what I read, he already speaks English and he will use the youth if the ban is not appealed.

Problem is, I don’t see a big chance getting him cause Ajax will lose half their team. Doubt they’ll want to lose their coach too in the same summer.

Whatever happens we need to get the situation sorted early this summer.

Can't have a repeat of last summers circus.

Sarri still favourite to go to Turin, but over the last 24 hours betting (skybet) has gone out from 1/10 to 1/5, whilst Pep has gone from 9/2 to 7/2.

There is no green light yet for Maurizio Sarri to join Juventus. Sarri waits for Chelsea negotiations to bring Frank Lampard in to replace him.

Would make sense for us to secure a replacement before letting Sarri go.

It would but man are we asking a lot of Frank. Hopefully Roman adjusts what he asks for. We are just not good enough to win the league or CL. making top 4 will be hard enough.

I mentioned him a while ago and somebody responded to my post by stating that his tactics are only good for so long. His teams burn out because they can't sustain the level of intensity. It was a good point, and very valid as that was exactly what happened to Ajax. I'd like him though.

Not sure if anyone has followed this rumor today:

I wonder where this leaves Don Maurizio atm?

It will be near impossible for Pep to improve on last season's haul with City, and they may be looking at a European ban soon. Perhaps the ideal time for him to move on to a new challenge.

Hmm, Pep wouldn't leave this season, he's got a superb squad and can sign more players if he wants this summer and have a real go at all trophies again.

If they get the CL ban he might leave, but the ban would start next season. Also depends on how long the ban is, I reckon he can live through a one year ban.

He left Barca and Bayern on a high. Well Bayern not so much but he is a project type manager and he doesn't want his star to fall by playing a mediocre season. I still don't think he leaves now. Too few rumours.

Your looking at this entirely in football terms. Players and managers move all the time for non footballing reasons. ( He’s a Latin and three years in rainy Manchester would have anyone pining for sunnier climes)

On a slightly different note. I don't get to many of the matches at all these days and have been questioned by other fans about the crowd booing Sarri. I visit the Red Café and they slag Chelsea fans for booing Sarri.

Is it a minority? Which section is booing? Was it really that serious?

It's a minority at home games. Typically it's subs that gets booed if someone's favourite player is coming off.

What has been noticeable is a complete lack of atmosphere. MHL doesn't give a sh*t anymore

Although it's still early in the off season, let's sort out Sarri's future ASAP. Juventus is in no rush to get a new manager, but the English season starts earlier and we got the cup match against Liverpool before that, it's up to us sort it out early. If Sarri doesn't want to be here, cut him loose even at the expense of a few Millions, need to give the predecessor best chance to suceed in a difficult season.

Typical Fraudiola if he goes to Juventus of all times.

Simply just picks the best team in each league to stat pad.

This has been coming for years.

Bring back standing!
