Chelsea's next manager - evergreen post

Featured Replies

I wonder how this will be reported in the media if Lampard gets the job. For years and years now they have been complaining because English coaches never get the chance to be a manager of an English Champions League team, and we could be the ones to make that happen.

The English media love a good Chelsea bashing, so I'm doubting they will write about this without some bitterness.

Why do people always use the word literally out of context. Jamie Redknapp's favourite word someone who could string passes better than he can string sentences.

Annoys the f**k out of me. Also People that use it every other word and emphasise it.

I think any other season they would build up the hype but now we have Ole as an example, they won't be able to if even they wanted to.

Tbf like i said earlier it was two different Worlds then and now. No messing about with tickets back then, just rock up to the station/ground with a few quid, virtually zero planning, most games were just off the cuff.

Yes can see your point about just rocking up, for the last few years it's been like a military operation getting tickets online, checking when on sale, getting up early, phones, iPad switched on, as for away games, my kitchen looks like NASA HQ computer devices all over the place. My two 20 something sons haven't a clue what I do to get tickets, they just rock up and give me the cash.

literally like ?... like literally !

they said the word like 75 times in 5 minutes on love island ........literally.

My son watches that sh*t. The whole cast are complete wastes of human life.

Jamie Redknapp once said '' The ball was literally put on a plate for him'' just a ridiculous thing to say.

He’s a brain dead f**k head. Looking more and more like his dad by the day. Clever Louise. She saw it coming and f**ked off before she ended up waking up with a scrotum sack on the next pillow.

A guarantee that is not worth the paper it isn't written on.

While it is nice to have lamps back at the club the reality is he's- on the strength of his managerial cv- the least qualified person to be appointed by the club since gullit.

Im pretty worried.

Be good if Lamps got the job. He may get the time he needs.  I feel Chelsea will have a new owner       in the coming year. Can’t see the government letting Abramovich back in the country.

You got to remember that the dirty red sides have US owners & those sides get a lot of support from the Media here. Chelsea are viewed as a team that sometimes wins things & aren't consistent enough in winning.

The media famously love lampard. He's got a lot of close allies.

I doubt very much he's going to get the bashing Sarri did.

wait until he plays Kante as a box to box MF, then you will hear the whines from Fans & pundits alike

Well that didn’t work out too badly for us did it?

Because it’s  important to distinguish that I literally woke up than metaphorically, then literally made breakfast as opposed to in sentiment only and that I literally ran out of milk as opposed to symbolically so I literally popped down to the shop to buy some more rather than figuratively ?

Plus it allows dumbos from Essex to literally feel less bubble headed and literally more intelligent.

One of my favourite periods as a Chelsea supporter, my main question is do they have him lined up as a stop gap or as a long term option that they will support fully, surely the first if they care an ounce about the fans and sentiment...

Also hoping we announce him and get him and Jodi in ASAP to take a look at who they want , get an idea of a squad and have plenty of time to prepare a proper preseason.

No, and hoddle did well before him too. Both appointments were made by people with, at the very least, a modicum of football nous, and were made with a clear intention.

This appointment, on the other hand, is another dart thrown at (and by) a board that may no longer be fit for purpose.

I can't deny that the thought of Lampard being manager is exciting. It could end up being too soon, it may be a disaster, but seeing one of our greatest players managing the team is just something every fan of any club loves to see. Also, if it goes well, it will feel even more special.

I hope they don't drag his out now its official Sarri has gone. If we've got someone lined up, it needs to be announced.

Agreed, sooner we have Rafas release from the toon sorted the better.
