i think our forward players being young arent able to sense the right moments in a game..  yesterday there when we were under the pump a bit a wise head would have slowed the game down rotated the ball a little and eased of the pressure.. yet both Werner and Pulisic were intent on playing at 90mph...which meant we kept losing the ball and it kept coming back.. a lot of times catching our defense out of position..

And i hate to do this but i dont think Jorginho has a future in this system..the movement off the ball and dynamism that Kova bought in immediately made us look better.. i think Jorginho is a fantastic technical player.. but in the system we play i think his lack of mobility is a real issue.

Desperately need Mount and/or Havertz to step up to the plate. Presently we are too reliant on crosses which is a bit tricky with most teams sat deep.

To be fair to Mount he’s been largely consistent and been on the go for Club and country tirelessly, Havertz hasn’t made the best of starts but will come good in my opinion, the loss of Ziyech and CHO has been a blow and Captain America is still to regain his best form after injury. We just need to ride this bumpy loss of confidence out, when we get everyone back firing nobody will want to play us with the options we have.

If you don’t see progress, I’m not sure what team you’ve been watching. From conceding a sh*t load of goals to having one of the lowest in the PL. Frim being absolutely pants at defending or attacking ser pieces, to defending them very well and scoring quite a few goals from them. Attacking wise we’re a bit in the usual dip that we undergo this period most of the latest seasons, but we’ve been scoring quite a few goals per game. So yeah, there’s been progress this season for anyone there to see.

Ok then.I won't criticize anyone at the club anymore. It's almost not allowed here lol We've been winning all the games that we should be winning this year in the PL.I'm not gonna plaudit someone for winning against Palace,Leeds,Brighton,Burnley,Sheffield etc. and especially with the players we have and especially looking at how most of them are sh*t this season compared to last season.I mean just look at Sheffield. We have more than enough firepower with new additions this season to dispatch those with ease and as you mentioned we're doing well in the defence department and that's mostly down on our new signings. I  just want to see us do well consistently in the games against top half opposition because there you're going against top players and top managers and in those games you see where you truly are at the moment and at the moment we look scared sh*t in those games because we refuse to attack and take risks which you need to take to score goals.

People here still think  that we're going to get top 4 and we won't be able to do that if we don't sometimes beat our direct rivals for that spot. Those games are worth 6 point.

In games against Wolves,Liverpool,United,Tottenham and Everton we scored ONE goal.

Why are you mentioning Wolves and not West Ham? The latter are higher in the league.

If you want to pass Wolves of as a big game then West Ham and Southampton have to count, and we scored 6 in them 2.

Well if you want to mention Southampton and WH do it,but I think both of us now that by the end of the season both of those clubs are going to be behind Wolves.

WH game was a strange one.We definitely weren't that much better than WH to beat them 3-0.

We might have struggled more against the Hammers had Antonio played and this season the Saints are going well and have a decent chance of finishing above Wolves.

I think with midtable clubs they get an injury or two in Jan or Feb and then fall away. Ings is one Saints player with a fair few injuries,

If you want to criticise, at least get the facts right. You said, and I quote, "That's true. Im not expecting wonders from anyone this season. Just want to see clear progress from last season. " And all I am saying is that there has been clear progress from last season, anyone can see how many goals we shipped every match, especially from corners, and how few we've received this season. Defensively we've improved massively, and attacking corners I haven't seen us this dangerous in a while. So yes, there's clear progress from last season. In addition, there have been games like WestBrom that last season we would have lost and this season we managed to attack convincingly and get back from 3 down. We have also been scoring quite a few more goals than last season too. That is progress. Now, you don't like how we've played since the game against Sevilla, I don't think any in here can say that we have been brilliant, but from that to say there is no progress....

Hard to argue with you lot when the goalposts keep moving all over the place.

We win games, you lot say "Oh we are guaranteed wins against these clubs"

We lose and you'll say "We scored ONE GOAL!!!" but ignore the whole context in each of those games. Only Wolves is what I'd categorized as a Lampard feckup.

Everton was a poor mistake from Mendy and we had injuries to our key wingers.

Tottenham and United was a game on a knife's edge. Fine margins decided that game.

Liverpool we lost because of a braindead red card from Christensen that threw our plans out the window. We were also missing Ziyech and Pulisic iirc.

We are progressing as a team. Anyone that says we haven't progressed at all must be watching some other London team.

Couldn't agree more. So far the only big f**kup was Wolves, moving Pulisic to the right.

I think you are right. Poch looks like he’s got a job now too

Pochettino won't be a good fit for us anyway, and I'm not saying that because he hasn't won anything yet.

I honestly believe he’s better than we have now. But that’s a personal opinion

It has been pointed out our record against the top sides is very poor, in fact West ham were the first we scored against this season (at the time they were just behind us so considered a top half side at least)

Now we have Arsenal, who have been awful but still one of the traditional "Big 6", Villa, who are having a really good season so far and then City.

Now Frank has to prove he can manage the squad over this short period and tactically set up and motivate for 3 very different teams. To show no mercy to Arsenal and be at it from the get go, to not underestimate Villa and to shut down and counter Pepball. It is a real test.

If we are capable of winning the title, we win these 3 games. I think at a minimum we should be taking 6, anything off City away is a bonus.

Personally I think Liverpool are too good and too lucky to be caught.

He doesn't fit what we're trying to do. Contrary to his reputation his record for developing young players isn't great (he has a bizarre policy of not sending any out on loan even if they are not playing) the football he plays isn't as great as people say and his record with recruitment is woeful .

I'm by no means saying Lampard should get it long term unconditionally but if the sad time comes that we have to change manager's it should not be Pochettino.

I was just thinking he was the best option who was available

The next 3 will sway public opinion. If he does lose to Arsenal and Villa, questions will be asked.

I’m not turning on Frank whatever happens today, the Arsenal game has an Arsenal win written all over it considering the situation.

But my god that Arsenal side is the worst I have seen for many years!

If he fails to win today, absolutely no excuses. The Arsenal 2-2 game was already embarrassing enough, one of the worst matches under Frank imo, but this will take the biscuit if we can't manage to beat a bunch of Arsenal kids in their worst form ever.
