We have been beyond toothless and poor against teams in the top half of the table this season.

Yes and I think that was because of the Mendy and Silva availability, now we have wingers out yet soon Frank is going to need to win against the big boys or he will be seen as an emperor without any clothing.

We're still in a slump, but this time we actually won the game, which is great news.

Just please don't play like w**k against Arsenal.

Bring on the Haters, Frank is showing he is way out of his depth, that performance, barring an oh so lucky win, we were absolute sh*te, Zouma might be good at heading a ball ,or scoring the odd goal, but, he'd be awesome in one of Big Sams old Bolton teams, just pass the ball fwd not back to Silva or Mendy.....

He's also shown he can do something I've rarely seen a manager do at Chelsea. Get out of bad form and remedy our defence.

He's solved our defending at set pieces. Our attacking set pieces. Our defence overall. He's turned it around. He's learning. It would be foolish to suggest he's not inexperienced, but winning something with Frank would be 10x better than winning it with another mercenary manager (Sarri etc).

We should pipe Arsenal by default if nothing else, it's the Villa game I'm worried about.

Grealish and Watkins will punish us big time if we play like this, even with Thiago Silva being utterly collosal.

It would, but he can't exactly change much in midfield, would Rice make a difference, not sure, so a rotation of what he's got, ado know we do look more solid with kante, but we seem to have problems even getting it to our midfield?

We were playing free flowing football a few weeks ago.

Just a blip. Be patient. Once all our attacking players are settled, I expect us to be great.

We will just persist with Werner out on the right, because frank will play Tammy or Olly through the middle, this will just exacerbate the growing Werner enigma, let alone what to do about Kai ?

Again, when Lampard is under pressure, he usually delivers. The extended break help, although it will be a shorter break leading up to the Arsenal game. We coped with their long ball well, apart from that moment with Rice offside goal, we didn't give them much of a sniff.  We were happy to adapt and absorb pressure, something we couldn't do before.

God we were so lucky, the second half i was just waiting for their equalizer which thankfully didn't come,I'm still not sure Frank's the man to get us winning trophies again, but I must admit the defence has improved 100%.

Painful viewing, started brightly enough but a few mistakes and the confidence just evaporated.

After the goal it was just awful, almost like watching a Sunday league game with such little quality from both sides.

Hopefully the Win, Dour as it was, will reinstall some confidence as after the third goal we moved it a bit better.

Desperately need Mount and/or Havertz to step up to the plate. Presently we are too reliant on crosses which is a bit tricky with most teams sat deep.

Without James and Chilwell we didn't throw in so many crosses.

I have felt for a while the crosses were used far too much as they were not good enough or we had too few men in the box.

Yesterday we seemed to play more through the middle, it will be interesting to see how this goes against Arsenal.

It worked for the first 30 minutes and during the last 20 minutes, I think maybe West Ham players got tired and we quickly punished them because the way they started the second half was really intense but later on their level dropped significantly.

Our through balls were good yesterday but we also lost possession because of them too many times, a derby is always going to be hard but for Arsenal we need to take less risks for sure, we will get our chance so patience will be the key.

I find it impressive that Lampard managed to go from not having any real threat from the corner kick last season, to this point where we can win games just by having a corner and Mount there. That's just amazing, looks like having a cheat code or something, specially when we consider the fact that West Ham have been good at defending corners... Arsenal will probably pay extra attention to that, I think that for them there is nothing better at this point but to re-assure themselves by winning against us and build up on that new confidence so in my book, the next game is a must win.

I watched bits of Arsenal and notice they are struggling to break down packed defenses.

We tend to play more open and Luiz is back which means a long ball to Aubameyang will be on.

They have a lot of young players that have not gelled yet and hopefully that does happen for at least a week!

I agree with you on our set pieces a vast improvement compared to a year ago.

They will be shamelessly looking for that quick break counter attack, we have to shut down Aubameyang 👀

At least Lampard doesn't bitch and moan about injuries like a certain manager in scouse land. Chilwell get's injured and Lampard says we'll cope. With the amount of injuries we keep getting, you wouldn't complain if he had a little moan and was feeling a bit sorry for himself, but no, he's just getting on with it.

But Carlo isn’t moaning...

Auba has a calf injury. May not make our match, is out of the Arsenal vs city game today.
