October 26, 20196 yr I’m 99% delighted with that. With a bit of luck it’s not unthinkable this of players could go on to dominate the league in a couple of years. I also don’t think this would be possible with anybody other than Frank. I almost wish they would extend the transfer ban for another window.

Good thing it didn’t actually hurt us and no doubt Lampard will use this as reference for other occasions to stay in the match until the full whistle. It's probably a good thing in the grand scheme of things bit of a wake up call.
October 26, 20196 yr The problem was the tactics were still set to attack and get more goals but w Giroud unable to hold up & no pace it back fired. Batty would been a better option but Im guessing Frank threw Olly a bone and he didn’t do the score line any favors by it. A bit of shut up shop was needed Still it’s 3 points regardless of the clean sheet and the Blue army goes marching on

October 26, 20196 yr Never been so excited about Chelsea since promotion in 1984!! And we know what that team meant. Time for a beer it's Saturday night, carefree

Reece James was excellent from the moment he came on. With two games a week, at 4-0 up with 15 to play who wouldn't have made those subs and save soem of the players legs.
October 26, 20196 yr Overall pulisic was very clinical with his chances. I know it seems harsh but burnley had a few sitters with set pieces which we got away with. Also the 2 goals were a bit of a killer as we seemed to have switched off which lamps needs to drill into these kids that u can’t get complacent. but we have to be happy with 3 points at this place. As it’s not easy playing at burnley.
October 26, 20196 yr I feel sorry for Giroud but is realy slow. The rest of the team is realy on completally another level
October 26, 20196 yr My take: Early on difficult to get a good period of play together as Burnley went toe to toe with us. Burnley looked to have done their homework as Abraham was mostly shut out of the game, one of the few times he got the ball to feet was the only time I saw Kovacic run through the middle. We got the goal as Pulisic got a bit of space and they hadn’t done their homework on him as he scored with a good finish. Barnes had a couple of half chances which on another day might have put them in front yet he miscued. On one of these it looked like Abraham's defensive jump put him off heading the ball. Pulisic got the second courtesy of a deflection and the third taken with a decent header from a useful Mount Cross. Then Willian with a good finish made it 4-0 on 58 mins. On him I noticed three flicks one worked well the other two gave away possession though put in a good shift again. I wondered then whether we were going to match Leicester yesterday with a bucket load of goals yet Frank seemed more interested in using the wider squad. No complaints with that. James seemed competent yet CHO didn’t deliver this time and got carded for the penalty area incident. Surprised to see Giroud instead of Bats yet he did not get to see much of the ball. Burnley incurred 3 late yellows and scored a couple, one a peach from Rodriguez. Not sure if we relaxed too much or Dyke made a tactical change with Brady to give them a chance of a late point. Overall we deserved the points though still room for improvement. Nice to see Pulisic get a hattrick, our first for some time.

Giroud was good in the super cup, but with the way we play and pace of the league, Giroud just doesn't fit right now.

October 26, 20196 yr Terrific performance. Really happy with it as i saw this as a very tricky fixture after CL midweek and we really did look great for 86 minutes so can't complain.
October 26, 20196 yr Frank Sinclair is a top pundit. I know im biased, but he actually knows what he's talking about.
October 26, 20196 yr What a result. Burnley away is always a tricky game, and honestly I wouldn’t have been surprised to see us drop points today! Keep it up lads!

It was near the half way line and there were plenty back to defend. Players were losing it quite a bit in deeper positions in midfield. 4-0 would have been a bit unfair on them tbf, although I was waiting for 9 myself ? 2 goal deficit about right I think. Disappointing to concede two so weakly. All in all a great result, 3 goals for Pulisic so we'll be getting factions clamouring for their guy to start every game. Most Chelsea fans - CHO Pulisic - The yanks Willian - maybe not Pedro - the people who still think it's 2009 and not 2019. On a different note, was nice to see Kurt Zouma being nice and physical with that little bag of scum Barnes. Edited October 26, 20196 yr by GhostOfDembaBa

I know the deal we did with him was somewhat due to pressure from inside his camp and Bayern, but the reality is that he has the wage and needs to be providing more than he is. Pulisic is a good example. Came in on a big price, struggled to adjust, has worked hard behind the scenes and has adapted to Prem football and now looks a shoe in for a start

He seems to be playing within himself, like he's got a few gears he's not using. I'm guessing that's partly down to his returning from a quite nasty injury, and maybe also (sneaky feeling and I hope not) the sense that he's got that contract and that he considers himself a starter in the team. Last season he was playing regularly with that same kind of directness and hunger we saw from Pulisic at times today. Edited October 26, 20196 yr by GhostOfDembaBa
