I saw several games of this young man, I am not convinced, he is certainly talented but I still don't see him as a guarantee ...

Secondly, we already have too many good options for midfield and attack, the priority should be defense.

Or an excellent business opportunity.

Because in the third place, this player is completely overvalued, I wouldn't even consider him for the values that are talked about.

In no way.

Sane and Harvetz are not the same type of player.  If that were true then we'd have no need for Harvetz because we already signed Zyiech and Werner...

My point was that they don't have enough budget to sign 2 big signings like this during this pandemic, and they were prioritizing on Sane over Havertz.

Leverkusen might well have to sell him although a club backed by a huge medicine company could always just say no. Who knows. I'm still not sure if Havertz is the player we need exactly. Or he might just be exactly what we need. You never know how the clubs sees different players and their future. We might well some of our main players who we though will be Chelsea forever.

The same story of Chelsea willing to pay around 70m and Leverkusen wanting 90m might come to an end soon as Leverkusen isn't going to play CL next season and Kai's price might go slightly down.

I think if we can get top 4 secured, with the new players coming in, including his team mate Werner on his way and the fact players like coming to London which is a bigger factor than people give credit to, we will land him.

It’s  an exciting project in an exciting league, good wages and CL football would be hard to see him wildly opposed to a move if we trigger the number they are looking for.

Wasn’t sure why we need him with our stacked midfield but I can see in it that we can struggle for creativity in the middle at times, the attack is sorted but to have a deeper playmaker behind the forwards would be a recipe for goals galore.

I do feel like we need to get CL for him to come. Maybe I'm wrong. If he comes, we could see him at Chelsea for a few seasons then leave for Real Madrid and I wouldn't mind. As long as he helps us to win the league.

Pretty sure we can do both at the same time...

We can, but Id rather this get announced as soon as. After signing Havertz I dont think we plan on bringing in anybody else in attack or midfield.

I still feel like we are a step up club for him. I'm not going to be mad at that, but we got to keep perspective. If he can help us achieve big things for the next 3-4 seasons then that's fair enough.
Absolutely. 2005-2009 we were at a same league as the Bayerns, Reals and Barcas. Now we are there with maybe Dortmund and even that is a stretch. Second tear team.

If he uses us as a stepping stone as Eden I don't mind one bit.

Really don't want us to be considered as a  stepping stone or a selling club, i want us to be at the very top with the Bayerns, Reals and Barcas. and we need to be buying this type of player to get there. If in years to come he wants to move on ok. like Eden with a massive incoming fee. Then we buy another marquee signing like Bayerns, Reals and Barcas.

This is my wish as well. However last player to leave like Hazard was Robben. Courtois maybe but he had his familyties in Madrid. Players just don't leave us like that. We are a massive club and we pay good salary. Players tend to love playing for us.

While he seems great, Mount and RLC would lose their development I suspect. Think Sancho is a bigger need with Willian Pedro leaving and CHO barely featuring

Ziyech!

Ziyech!

From what I’ve seen, Havertz plays mostly on right and drifting into the middle, exactly like Ziyech. Just seems too similar profile to what we have in the squad now, albeit maybe a bit better player. Just think a quick goalscoring winger would make a bigger impact here
