Complete passenger again today. It's been obvious for quite sometimes now. Only Chelsea diehards refused to acknowledge it. Try to watch the games as an outsider sometimes, the picture gets a bit clearer.
December 14, 20196 yr Looks like you can stand in front of the goalkeeper and that's ok as long as you dont touch the ball. I didnt know that...you learn something from VAR everytime we play. Wearing gloves lads...you should be pumped up and ready to go.

There is something very wrong if we are expecting an 18 year old to come off the bench and save us. That was one of my concerns watching the game, at 0-0 there was literally no one that could be brought on to change the game unfortunately.
December 14, 20196 yr I agree, that was a very poor performance, credits to Bournemouth for a sacrifice performance. We all could feel the lack of experience we had in the game, CHO actually came in and was very positive in the game, he dribbled through very well, but his final decision wasn't correct. Mount was very static, it was easy for Bournemouth to take him. With more games, more time he will take the ball into the central and take a shoot. Abraham was quiet but Bournemouth just didn't give him the space, he ran to the wing but nobody ran behind him. Batshuayi came late in my opinion. Emerson with a performance to forget, crucial miss and offered actually nothing. Kante with a lot of energy, a lot of dirty work, but offensively he is still lacking that creation we want to see. I believe we still have to give it some time. Building a new team isn't possible in few months, I believe in patience. Let's hope for a better games, COME ON CHELS!!!
December 14, 20196 yr I am afraid Lampard is not good enough as a manager. His team is getting progressively worse and he has no clue how to fix things. Problems all over the pitch
December 14, 20196 yr Could have played all day and wouldn’t have scored.. terrible performance & worrying form. Hopefully Frank can sort this out and steady the ship til we can splash the cash in January.

Maybe go into it as a 4123 with Jorginho holding and Kante-Kova midfield one running and one cleaning up. Willian needs to be dropped, I'd put Pulisic on the right and give a last chance to CHO to stake a claim as a starter. Alonso for Emerson for now and have James on standby. I won't mind we play a 352 again with Alonso and James, Kante Kova and Jorgi with Batshy and Tammy upfront.

He's been handicapped from the moment he took the job on, writing him off now is unfair and ridiculous.
December 14, 20196 yr Credit to Bournemouth with a lot of injuries they played a clever game and scored a clever goal. They closed down the forward passes from our CBs forcing us to go long where we were not really winning the ball. When we did start to get down the wings they crowded the box so we were largely ineffective. Our highlights seemed to be Rudiger or Zouma stopping one of their breaks. Kovacic was one of the few to take a shot and I missed a headed chance with the stream blanking out. CHO looked like he was trying today and perhaps should of come on earlier though perhaps not for Willian. Tammy was disappointing today not making much of the balls played to him and could have done better with the odd cross. Bats was brought on too late for me and only noticed him touch the ball once. Agree Mount was quiet and Kante was not at his best. Would not like Frank's job just now, he has some problems to solve.

The youngsters are showing their inexperience now (it was always going to come at some point) we lost our best player, many of the other senior players aren't good enough. We should be thanking these kids for getting us to the transfer window in a decent position. Not slating them
December 14, 20196 yr Wow some of the reaction here is unbelievably naive.. this is a team which has only played 4 months of football together.. with there being 3 -4 new players who are also quiet young.. our play was static because these players still don’t recognize each other’s movements..constantly under hitting passes getting in each other’s ways.. making the wrong runs.. give it time the kids are fine.. mount is good enough and doing well he will score at least 10 this season .. Pulisic was just tired.. CHO was impressive in his cameo.. bad bad result but this was bound to happen .. especially consider how Willian’s form has tapered off..and our problems in defence.. i think the Spurs game will give us the bounce ..
December 14, 20196 yr Think our kids are quite leggy, already. Pulisic, Tammy, and Mount need more rotation in their positions. KTBFFH! Things have gone a bit stale, at the moment. Just a rough patch in form. The boys will come through it!

I am not a fan of sacking managers after they have been on the job for a few months. At least give them a full season to show what they can do with the squad.

I actually thought that William, today, whilst still far from great, was the better player out of himself, Mount, Pulisic and CHO.I didn't agree with him being subbed. I thought Mount should be.Mount has a good career ahead of him and deserves to play regularly now. However I think he may benefit from a rest. He looks a bit jaded.
December 14, 20196 yr I have long held a view that the pitch at SB is just too small to play possession football.. teams are able to sit back given the narrow pitch size.. teams that have in the past done this well.. like barca.. city ... All have bigger pitches.. I think at home we need to go more direct..
December 14, 20196 yr We were poor today but thats the way it will be this season, a bit up and down. Well done to Bournemouth they took advantage. We're still top 4 into the next stage of the Champions League and have a great young team and management with so much potential. We were poor attacking today, thought we were better defensively. I was hoping we fixed that soft spot when we give the ball away. Still work to do but going ok. Up the Chels

The obvious change is Barkley in for Mount. but Barkley seems to have disappeared without trace, apart from in nightclubs and taxis

He looks a bit jaded. I just think that he needs to make more runs off the ball.. he always seems to come short to get the ball.. if we look at most modern forwards who score a lot.. they tend to make runs in between the CB and fullbacks.. something Pedro used to do a lot too.. by coming short he literally takes up a position which means he will rarely score..

More to the point, neither Emerson on the left nor Dave on the right have what it takes going forward from full back, and our wingers all like to play inside too much. Maybe the best system is 3-4-3 with Alonso and James as wing backs ... ?
December 14, 20196 yr Author Our home record coincides with our lock pickers departure. We need a new lock picker, especially for home games when teams are set up to defend first and second ball.
