Willian isn't great but I think he's our best player. He's the only one making any decent passes. Being let down by the rest badly. And Abraham has been garbage but is still benefitting from Academy status which means criticism is forbidden. And CHO, he couldn't open a can of Pepsi.

CHO needs to go out on loan in January, and prove he's still got what it takes after his injury because on current form he shouldn't be anywhere near the first team over Pulisic or Mount.

I think the Achilles injury he sustained has affected him mentally more than we anticipated.

If he’s so low on confidence and it’s been evident in every match I’ve seen him in then why does frank pick him? We need to win matches at home against these lesser opponents and giving struggling players a start isn’t the right move imo but I’m not the coach.

I personally don't think we will see the real callum until after pre-season.

I'm not sure of the nature and extent of the injury, but Frank confirmed his absence was due to an injury and that's why Emerson was starting today.

I can see why people see potential but I never saw much from him last year to justify a starting place or those wages but that’s how it works no one wants to miss the next top quality player, in all cases he is no where near the level he needs to be

Go back to 4-3-3 at halftime. Pulisic on left for CHO. Mount in midfield for Emerson. 

This is awful. Sloppy, slow, poor touches. We’ve barely had a shot on target. 
 

Frank needs to give them a rollicking at HT

We are awful at home 

The biggest worry is we don't look like scoring at the moment.

This is eerily similar to the home games against West Ham and Bournemouth.

Emerson is such a negative footballer, never passes forward and isn't a particularly good defender. Really don't know what he offers. Not much choice today though with Alonso injured.

Which is about 12 of the teams we have to play. That's 24 matches where we struggle.

There’s no urgency or threat at all. Too predictable

They didn't really park the bus at the start, they pressed us high up the field. Our own sloppy poor start again let them get the foothold they desired in the game.

Every part of our attacking play has been terrible. Willian is doing his old run and stop routine, Abraham's decision making and hold up play is rubbish, Hudson-Odoi hasn't been involved enough, Emerson is doing nothing (like every game he plays) Azpilicueta's crossing has been woeful, Kante's whole game has been sh*t.

Once again, we haven't even come close to testing the keeper, an awful first half of football. All of the work against Tottenham is being undone.

We're playing like someone who just discovered skill moves on FIFA

Fairly grim half. You can't play this formation with two wing backs who can't cross the ball. You might get away with one but not two.

Jorghino doing OK and Willian looks the most likely to create something. Odoi has been atrocious.

I can see Frank making no changes at half time as that seems to be the way of it these days however I'd be hooking Odoi. Unfortunately we don't have a wing back replacement on bench.
