That "Alonso (if healthy)" on a 4 player defensive line is a joke of the decade.

Not really, as flawed as he is he's still probably the best option against teams who will rarely attack.

They will absolutely target him and field a quick player to that wing. One time past him and we might concede. It is that easy when you have maximum 3 players at back at that point. Fielding Tomori alongside him will help.

Like that and would probably go for Azpi at left back for match experience.

After seeing that headed attempt by Barkley in the cup wonder if it makes sense to use him an attacking M/F sub if we need a goal at the 70 min mark.

Last time we lost three consecutive home league games was in 1993.

Nervous about this game. Need to get the three points and consolidate our place in the top 4.

Think CHO will benefit from a left footed player who makes off the ball runs on the outside. That is why he works perfectly with James on the right. Azpi is too static on the left, and his runs tend to be on the inside.

That's an interesting point though think against Burnley we will need someone with EPL experience as Burnley ply their tricks of the trade, he also seems good with talking to refs.

The latter might come in useful if Ashley Barnes gets nasty again.

Then play him on the right with James, and switch Willian left.

Yeah, what's that all about!

I do not relish this match, they will probably kick at least one of our players out.

True and true !

Exactly my lineup that, but I would probably play Pulisic over CHO, but I wouldn't be against giving CHO his start after a promising performance.

Reading it back i'd probably swap CHO and Willian wings.

CHO looked better on the right and worked well with Reece. Willian looks better cutting in too.

If I recall didn't he mostly play there last season and that's where we saw his best performances?

But we've rested Willian so we may aswell give him the start against Burnley, he has been in good form besides the poor performances I think.

Burnley are on an awful run of form before visiting the Bridge

so were WHU & Bournemouth & Southampton

I don't know what to expect really, but whatever the result I stand by the management team in 2020 come what May !

Yeah exactly, all these teams that have been in terrible form and have came here and got themselves a win, so I'm not confident.

Ashley Barnes is expected to miss tomorrow's game through injury.

Frank did indicate that RLC may be involved in some football with the academy players soon so that is a positive update.
